'The Blacklist' Season 7 Episode 9 will not air this week, but here is what you can watch while waiting for 'Orion Relocation Services'

Ideally, Season 7 Episode 9 of 'The Blacklist' should have been aired by NBC on Friday, December 29, but instead, the network will be premiering the 18th edition of The National Dog Show.

'The Blacklist' left us with a nailbiting cliffhanger in Season 7 Episode 8 'The Hawaladar', and unfortunately, it is going to take slightly longer than we had hoped before we find out if Liz (Megan Boone) finally puts two and two together about Katarina (Laila Robins) and her sweet old neighbor being the very same person. From the looks of it, she does and is going to help Red (James Spader) take her down.

Ideally, Season 7 Episode 9 of 'The Blacklist' should have been aired by NBC on Friday, December 29, but instead, the network will be premiering the 18th edition of The National Dog Show. Hosted by John O'Hurley, David Frei and Mary Carillo, the show at suburban Philadelphia, is expected to see over 2,000 top dogs of 205 breeds and varieties compete for Best of Breed, First in Group and the coveted title of Best in Show.

While this will make for a great TV event for all dog-lovers, 'The Blacklist' family is still eagerly awaiting to see the fate of the Stranger aka Ilya Koslov (Brett Cullen), who is being held captive by Katarina. She wants to know some truth about Red, and he is the only one who knows everything about him. However, he would rather kill himself than betray Red, which became evident when he tried to hang himself with his shoelaces in the previously aired Season 7 Episode 8.

We have also never seen Red this vulnerable and desperate ever before, and he is frantically looking to find his friend before he is forced to reveal Red's secrets or worse, not reveal them and get tortured to the point of no return. The last we saw, Katarina has employed a "friend" who wanted to extract information from Ilya in very untraditional methods, but his resume isn't the best, with no previous subject having revealed any information of even survived his probing.

However, with Liz on the same page and the Task Force at his disposal, Red's chances of tracking down Katarina increase and hopefully, we will see him getting to Ilya before it is too late. Unfortunately, we have to wait until Season 7 Episode 9, titled 'Orion Relocation Services' airs on Friday, December 6, to potentially see that happen.
