'The Blacklist' Season 7 Episode 6: Is Aram's new girlfriend Elodie Katarina's spy or was the Frank Bloom mixup purely a coincidence?

As fans of the NBC show know, Frank Bloom is the name of the Stranger, the man who Red (James Spader) met at the end of Season 6, and they are said to have a very deep friendship that has been forged through years of working together.

'The Blacklist' had its first sans Katarina (Laila Robins) episode last week, as the NBC show went back to its one-criminal-a-week roots, but we felt her presence in every scene, especially the last one where we saw Aram (Amir Arison) and his new girlfriend Elodie (Elizabeth Bogush) "crashed" a random wedding and assigned themselves the names of one Mr. Frank Bloom and his plus one. 

As we saw throughout the episode, Aram was having a tough time calling Elodie after they slept together in Episode 3 of the season, titled 'Les Fleurs du Mal', wherein they went undercover as a rich married couple seeking fatal thrills because they were bored with everything else life had to offer. However, since then, Aram was lacking the courage to call her back, because he was guilt-ridden for sleeping with a married woman — one that is married to a paralyzed man imprisoned to a wheelchair, no less. 

However, Elodie surprised Aram by receiving his hesitant call with a laugh in her voice and asking him to be her plus one at a wedding she plans to crash. Despite his inhibitions, he shows up and actually goes through with her outrageous idea. In order to get in, however, they had to assume the role of people who were actually invited to the wedding, and Elodie picks up the nametags for Mrs. and Mr. Bloom. Complete coincidence? We think not.

Our best guess is that not only was Bloom at the wedding on a mission of his own, but Elodie is infiltrating the Task Force by coupling up with Aram upon Katarina's instructions.

She knows that Aram works with the FBI and with Katarina living right next Liz (Megan Boone) at her apartment building, it seems like she would plant other insiders in the lives of the rest of the Task Force. Hopefully, we will get to see the show explore this more when Season 7 Episode 6 'Dr. Lewis Powell' airs on NBC on Friday, November 8.
