Spoilers for season 7 episode 15: 'Gordon Kemp'

The latest episode of 'The Blacklist' season 7 might have sown the first seeds of Elizabeth Keene doubting Raymond 'Red' Reddington's original identity, but it is Red serving justice that has fans marveling at the suave former crook's ideals and principles.

According to the official synopsis, "A blacklist case forces Liz to choose sides between Red and the Task Force. Meanwhile, Red tries to calm a panicked Ilya Koslov, (guest star Brett Cullen) who believes he is under surveillance.” Liz makes her choice and tries to side with Red, but Cooper tricks her and gives her wrong information -- something that Red can't be too sure of believing, especially since he found out Ilya was being followed by Liz, who asked a PI to dig into the possibility of Red and Ilya being the same person.

But before we could discover all of that, Red's case with the FBI -- the one where Liz ended up getting tricked -- began with a young girl dying during an armed robbery. She had just found out she got into college and was about to inform her mother but was shot fatally before she could do that, even as she begged for her life at gunpoint. This hit an emotional nerve in Red, and he dug out the organization that manufactures these easily accessible guns through the FBI. The man responsible was Gordon Kemp, and according to him, selling guns in bulk to young people wasn't a crime. Technically, the law couldn't hold him responsible either and he went Scott free, but not in Red's eyes.

Taking matters into his own hands, Red ambushes Gordon at his home -- the way he does with most crooks -- and even though Gordon begs for his life just the way that retail girl did, Red serves justice under the pretext of how anybody could have bought one of Gordon's guns and taken out their violence on him. All Red could think of was the young girl's mother and her loss as he fired two bullets and considered justice served -- something that really won fans over this week. Taking to Twitter, they expressed their solidarity in Red's ideals and actions, touting: "I understood and appreciated Red's brand of justice in the episode...an eye for an eye."

Another fan complimented the writers for this latest episode, sharing: "Tonight’s episode was really good! Red dealing his own brand of justice and finding out Liz knows he’s not who is just gold! It’ll be fun ride! Next week’s episode looks good as well too! Can’t wait!" A third fan explained Red's behavior, sharing: "Of course Red is gonna be pissed. He wanted justice for this woman. He'd want the same for Liz. A mother knows." A fourth kept it short and simple, getting directly to the point, claiming: "I like when Red finds creative ways to execute justice. It adds an element of unpredictability and makes the show fun."
