'The Blacklist' Season 7 Episode 10: Will Agnes be caught in crossfire between Liz and Katarina?
All of Season 7, we have seen Katarina (Laila Robins) trick her estranged daughter and her granddaughter into believing that she is a harmless old lady who wants to help them and be there for them. Thankfully, as of the previously aired Season 7 Episode 9 of ‘The Blacklist’, her lies have been uncovered by Liz (Megan Boone), whom we last saw pointing a gun at her mother.
After many weeks of trusting Katarina with her daughter, Agnes, Liz came to realize that her friendly neighbor, Maddie, is actually an imposter, and is indeed her murderous mother. She used the notoriously underground Orion Relocation Services to take the identity of another woman and moved into Liz's apartment to try and gather all the information she needed, specifically about Red (James Spader) and the Townsend Directive.
Over the last few episodes, we saw Katarina taping Liz's phonecalls and earning hear trust to be in the know of everything that the FBI Task Force is up to and along with that, Red. She has been a couple of steps ahead of Red at all times, which is very unusual because, over the last seven seasons, we have seen Red always outwitting his adversaries. At this point, Red is desperate, especially since his BFF Ilya Koslov (Brett Cullen) is being tortured by her, and he knows just exactly how capable Katarina is of violence.
However, he is still in the dark about Katarina's whereabouts and Liz seems to have taken it upon herself to bring her murderous mother down. The last we saw her, Liz was pointing a gun at Katarina, and the latter was taunting her. As Katarina aptly points out, she is Liz's mother, but does she have any maternal instincts for her daughter? It certainly does not seem like it, even though she has built a strong bond with her granddaughter, Agnes.
Agnes is obviously oblivious to everything that is going on but knows that she loves her mother and she loves her nanny. Will she get hurt in the battler between her mother and her grandmother? Season 7 Episode 10 of 'The Blacklist', which is set to premiere on Friday, December 13, will reveal if Agnes will get caught in the crossfire when Liz and Katarina take up arms against each other.
