JEONJU, SOUTH KOREA: If you hear about K-drama in a conversation and your mind goes to a cheesy romance between two lovers, then ‘The Bequeathed’ is about to change your mind.

‘The Bequeathed’ has a little bit of everything, but mostly grim murders over a rural land. This K-drama has a total of 6 episodes, and it will keep you hooked from start to finish.

The main character of ‘The Bequeathed’ is Yoon Seo-ha played by Kim Hyun-joo, and frankly, no matter how many characters you might come across in this K-drama, your mind and eyes will be fixated on the character Seo-ha, and not only because she is at the center of the plot.

‘The Bequeathed’ overdoes it with its chaotic plot

K-dramas usually span over more episodes than 6, and that’s because there’s often a lot to cover, whether we’re talking about romance, mystery, or crime.

However, Netflix’s ‘The Bequeathed' attempted to wrap everything up in 6 episodes, leading to some chaos. Before you actually get into this series, you have to remember, that it isn’t for the faint-hearted, and definitely don’t watch with a full stomach, you might regret it.

The protagonist, Yoon Seo-ha receives a phone call about a dead uncle in the very first episode of ‘The Bequeathed’ and that’s where it all begins.

While the entire series does connect to this murder, and a few others that take place throughout the series, admittedly, there is a lot happening in 6 episodes, and given the run time of almost 50-55 minutes, it was not enough.

It felt too packed, and too chaotic during most episodes but the cast and the characters played by them made it worth a watch.

As mentioned before, Yoon Seo-Ha is the protagonist of the K-drama now streaming on Netflix, and every scene she was present in, came right at the top.

Any viewer who is going to binge ‘The Bequeathed,’ will remember Seo-Ha, whose character arc starts as the damsel in distress, with her cheating, and later dead husband, or her boss who won’t give her the job she deserves.

However, as we move forward with ‘The Bequeathed,’ Seo-Ha takes matters into her own hands and really shines through as the strong female protagonist one might be looking forward to.

Park Hee-soon and Ryu Kyung-soo as gave some incredibly notable performances in ‘The Bequeathed’ as Choi Seong-jun and Kim Yeong-ho respectively.
