Who was Christopher Wilder?

Christopher Wilder, born on March 13, 1945, in Sydney, Australia, reportedly raped a 13-year-old girl in the company of two other young men on January 4, 1963, when he was 17 years old, earning him a probation sentence.

Furthermore, it was alleged that Wilder, who married in 1968, got divorced only a week after his wife discovered some disturbing information about him trying to seduce his mother-in-law and sister-in-law, as well as having images of young girls in their underwear in his car.

In 1969, a further discovery added to the shock: the man was also accused of blackmailing a student nurse by using her nude images.

The following year, he immigrated to the United States, where his long gruesome crimes against women began.

Christopher Wilder was a prominent serial killer who targeted young women, earning the nickname, 'The Beauty Queen Killer'.

According to All That's Interesting, Wilde begins enticing young girls under the guise of a modeling gig after arriving in the United States.

His crime spree against women continued when, in 1971, he drugged and raped a girl after luring her with a modeling job, and, as before, he evaded imprisonment.

However, this only increased his confidence, resulting in him becoming the feared serial killer.

On February 26, 1984, Wilder began a seven-week cross-country excursion in which he murdered at least eight women and girls, all of whom aspired to be models. This earned him the moniker, 'The Beauty Queen Killer'.

Wilder's first victim was 20-year-old Rosario Gonzales, who was last seen leaving the racecourse with a man who matched Wilder's description.

On March 5, Elizabeth Kenyon, a 23-year-old high school teacher and former Miss Florida contestant, went missing.

Wilder and Kenyon had previously dated. A petrol station attendant claimed to have seen Kenyon fueling her car with a man who appeared to be Wilder.

Later, he was implicated in the murder of 21-year-old Theresa Anne Ferguson, whose body was discovered four days later, strangled and beaten so severely that her dental records had to be used to identify her.

His next victim was a 19-year-old student named Linda Grover, who was targeted again for modeling employment. The perpetrator knocked her unconscious, tied her up, and drove her to a motel in Georgia. She managed to escape by locking herself in the bathroom and screaming so loudly that Wilder fled.

However, the man continued to wreak havoc, killing mother and nursing student Terry Walden, 21-year-old Suzanne Logan, 18-year-old Sheryl Bonaventura, and 17-year-old model Michelle Korfman.

In a bizarre twist of fate, he did not kill his next victim, 16-year-old Tina Marie Risico, but instead exploited her to entice future victims.

Tina Marie assisted Wilder in abducting 16-year-old Dawnette Wilt, who miraculously survived the incident and eventually provided authorities with information. His final victim was 33-year-old Beth Dodge.
