In the climax, Kari says a final goodbye to Ryan Taylor (Jake Allyn), her ex-boyfriend, marking the end of their relationship.

Ryan informs Kari that he has decided to move to New York, and in that moment, Kari realizes that while their time together has come to an end, the memories they shared will always hold a special place in her heart.
