'The Bachelorette' Season 21: Jenn Tran faces her one big fear on daring dates
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON: Anyone who’s ever gone on a blind date or tried out a dating app has at least one ridiculous date story. So it’s no surprise that the dates in 'The Bachelor' franchise are more extravagant and outlandish than anything the rest of us could imagine. The TV series manages to simultaneously amuse and horrify thousands of people around the world each year.
On 'The Bachelorette', one-on-one dates are highly coveted. In a world where time is limited, receiving one of these dates is a significant advantage, as it allows the lucky recipient to spend much more time with Jenn Tran.
However, a question arises: why does the show choose date activities that terrify the lead? Jenn has openly expressed her fear of heights multiple times this season on 'The Bachelorette.' Yet, halfway through the season, she’s still been put through skydiving off a tower, taking a helicopter ride, and, most recently, riding in a hot air balloon.
Who picks dates on 'The Bachelorette'?
'The Bachelor' or 'The Bachelorette' are required to "follow all of Producer's rules, directions and instructions in all matters, including Participant selection," per the lead's contract (via Ranker).
