'The Bachelor' Season 13 featuring single dad, Jason Mesnick, can easily be considered as 'The Bachelor' franchise's most dramatic and shocking season. After spending time with the girls on the show and getting to know them better, he picked Melissa Rycroft and Molly Malaney as the finalists. Just a night before the finale episode, Jason spent time with Molly and thoroughly enjoyed it. As everybody was sure that Jason would pick Molly after watching their undeniable chemistry, he shocked the world by choosing Melissa.

Jason declared that Melissa was the girl of his dreams and had every trait he wanted in his future partner. But before he could proceed with proposing to Melissa, he broke Molly's heart by saying he had a stronger connection with Melissa. The couple had a beautiful ring ceremony during the finale episode. A few weeks later, during the filming of 'After the Final Rose' special segment of the show, Jason confessed that ever since the filming ended, he couldn't stop thinking about Molly. He also admitted that he might be in love with Molly.

So on national television, Jason dumped Melissa. Melissa was completely caught off-guard by Jason's abrupt decision to end his engagement with her, and move on with runner-up Molly. Although Jason tried consoling Melissa by saying that it had nothing to do with her, she refused to believe him. She was seething with rage at him for breaking her heart in such a cold manner. She was even more annoyed by the fact that when they were together, she asked Jason if he still had feelings for Molly or was interested in her, and he reportedly told her no.

When fans rewatched the moment when Jason crushed Melissa's heart, they too were unhappy with the way Jason handled the situation. A fan tweeted, "Damn this is hard to watch. Poor Melissa. My douchiest ex-boyfriend still wasn't even as douchey as Jason Mesnick. #TheBachelorGOAT."

Another fan wrote, "Hated when Jason did that to Melissa and watching it again. That hatred and anger is still there #TheBachelorGOAT She didn’t deserve that."

Another fan shared, "Jason’s breakup with Melissa on live tv just shows a lot of men can be trash. #TheBachelorGOAT."

"This just makes me hate Jason all over again for doing my girl Melissa that way!! #TheBachelorGOAT," commented an angry fan.

But thankfully everything worked out well for Melissa. Soon after the show, Melissa reconnected with her ex-boyfriend, Tye Strickland. Host, Chris Harrison caught up with Melissa, and she revealed how things have never been better for her. Melissa and Tye are happily married and have three children together.

'The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons - Ever!' airs every Monday at 8/7c only on ABC.
