'The Bachelorette': Did Clare Crawley use 'DWTS' mirrorball trophy to make her dress? Irked fans think so

As far as Clare is concerned, she hasn't been able to attract the same love that Dale as well as a couple of her other suitors have been receiving

'The Bachelorette' Season 16 finally premiered on Tuesday, October 13, night. After a number of delays following the pandemic, Bachelorverse fans were provided the much-needed respite as Clare Crawley's season finally began to air. By now everyone knows how it's going to end with her on the show.

She's going to walk out with the man she claimed made her feel like she met her husband, after a single meeting with him that didn't last more than a couple of minutes. The man in question is Dale Moss as everyone knows by now and he's a star in his own rights. Audiences are going all gaga on him claiming that they too would have walked out of the show with him. However, as far as Clare is concerned, she hasn't been able to attract the same love that Dale as well as a couple of her other suitors have been receiving. She's been slammed beyond measure for going on and on about being 39 and single and wanting to find a man. The new trailer of the show reveals that at some point before she leaves the show, she's about to be disrespected by some of her suitors. One age-shames her and on the other hand, there are at least 15 men threatening to stage a walk-out as she pays no heed to them because she only has eyes for Dale.

All this is coming later in the later episodes, however, as far as the first episode is concerned, fans are leaving no stone unturned to slam Clare. They're even going off on her for her fashion game which they think belongs to the first decade of the 2000s and others say it's inspired by 'Dancing With the Stars' mirrorball trophy. "#TheBachelorette I knew I had seen Clare's dress somewhere. Circa 2008," wrote a fan. "Did they... take the #DWTS mirror ball trophy and turn it into a dress for Clare?" wrote another. "@mikbunz about Clare’s dress: “It looks like that Limited Too bag everyone had in elementary school barfed up a dress” #TheBachelorette" read another tweet. "Clare in this dress looks exactly like a sequin bag I carried to Limited Too in 2004. Watermelon lip slacker in the inside pocket. #TheBachelorette" wrote another fan. "Just came here to say that I feel bad for the disco ball that Clare obviously destroyed to make that dress. #RIPDiscoBall #TheBachelorette" wrote another.

'The Bachelorette' airs Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
