The time has finally come for the home town visits on ‘The Bachelor’ and parents of the final four suitresses — Rachel Kirkconnell, Bri Springs, Serana P and Michelle Young — are meeting Matt James for the first time as they try to determine if the bachelor is the right match for their daughters. Tonight’s, February 20, episode began with Matt meeting Michelle Young’s parents, LaVonne and Ephraim.

Michelle was more than thrilled about introducing her parents to Matt after a Zoom call with some of her students, who had some tough questions for their teacher’s “boyfriend”. Some of them even asked if they had kissed already and if their teacher would get a rose from her man tonight. One could still term Matt’s conversation with Michelle’s students “cute”, but it wasn't the same when her father Ephraim shot similar questions at Matt.

Ephraim, during his chat with Matt, asks him if he’s in love with Michelle. Matt says he is yet to tell Michelle how he feels about her. Ephraim was carrying a somber expression throughout his conversation with Matt, but he went for the hard questions. He also addressed the fact that there are other women looking forward to marrying Matt and how serious he was about his relationship with Michelle.

Matt took a moment to explain to Ephraim that he and Michelle share a similar passion, and he can see a future with her owing to their perspectives. Although Ephraim seemed calm and composed during his entire conversation with Matt, he managed to raise eyebrows with his “holistic questions” for her daughter’s future partner.

Some fans couldn’t stop raving about his “cuteness”, while others have branded him the “best father-in-law”. One tweeted, "Protect Michelle’s dad at all costs #TheBachelor." Another said, "petition to make Michelle’s dad Chris Harrison’s replacement." One tweeted, "Michelle’s dad was everything in that convo. Asked the hard hitting questions but was still respectful. A king. #TheBachelor." One wrote, "I love Michelle's parents on #TheBachelor.. so refreshing to watch a Dad ask tough questions but still say he trusts his daughter to make her own decisions."
