LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Acolyte' Episode 7 aired on Disney+ on July 9, 2024. The episode delved deep into the intriguing past of the Jedi Masters who were on Brendok and provided an insight into the actions of Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae) and his guilt about what happened on the planet.

As we delved deeper into the episode, we learned that the real purpose of the Jedi was to study Force Vergence at Brendok and that they wanted to study Mae and Osha (Amandla Stenberg) who had a high M-Count and were highly Force-sensitive.

The witches resisted the action of the Jedis and an all-out war broke out between the witches and the Jedi when Master Sol stabbed Mother Aniseya (Jodie Turner-Smith). The witches are masters of mind control and to take on Torbin (Dean-Charles Chapman) and Master Sol, they controlled the mind of the Wookiee Jedi Kelnacca (Joonas Suotamo) who unleashed his fury on Sol and Torbin.

Kelnacca was able to easily overpower the two skilled Jedi Sol and Torbin and ended up injuring Torbing significantly. Earlier in the episode, Master Indara (Carrie-Anne Moss) asks Torbin to not upset Kelnacca and we get to experience the wrath of Kelancca.

Kelnacca was ultimately controlled by Master Indara who controlled his mind and knocked the witches out with her control over the Force and mind control. That was the only way they could have escaped the Wookiee Jedi because it was seemingly impossible to overpower him physically.

Kelnacca's prowess was shown earlier in Episode 2 when he casually walked through the dangerous forests of Khofar before he was ultimately found dead.

16 years after the events of Brendok, Kelnacca lived a lonely life away from the Jedi Temple and spent his days in the deep forests of Khofar. When Mae comes to kill him to avenge Brendok, she has a change of heart as she realizes her sister Osha is alive. She traps her accomplice Qimir (Manny Jacinto), who is persistent in convincing her to kill Kelnacca.

She ultimately finds Kelnacca dead though as her masked master arrives and kills Kelnacca along with a few other Jedi. The masked master is revealed to be none other than Qimir himself who had been pretending to be her accomplice.

Kelnacca's death did not go down well with the fans of the series who wanted to see more of the Wookie Jedi but his return in a flashback sequence in Episode 7 gave them some respite.
