LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Acolyte' Episode 7 aired on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, on Disney+.

The penultimate episode delved into the history of Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae) and other Jedi during their time on Brendok, offering a fresh perspective on the events previously seen in Episode 3.

This episode featured a flashback that brought back beloved characters who had previously died in the series.

Viewers were treated to appearances by Master Indara (Carrie Anne-Moss), Torbin (Dean Charles-Chapman), and the fan-favorite Wookie Jedi Kelnacca (Joonas Suotamo).

In Episode 3, we learned that the Jedi were on the planet to recruit Mae and Osha (Amandla Stenberg). However, this episode revealed that they had lied to the witches.

What was the real purpose of the Jedi on Brendok?

Master Indara and Sol inform Torbin that the true purpose of the Jedi's presence on the planet was to seek a Force Vergence—a concentration of the Force on a specific planet, object, or individual.

Brendok was thought to have been destroyed in the aftermath of the Great Hyperspace Disaster. However, Master Indara and Sol suspect the presence of a Force Vergence on the planet, a suspicion that proves true when they encounter Mae, Osha, and the Witches.

Under the guise of testing Mae and Osha, they managed to obtain blood samples from the twins. The samples reveal that the twins are highly Force-sensitive and appear to have been created using the vergence as one consciousness in two bodies.

Torbin, eager to return to Coruscant, sees an opportunity and rushes to retrieve Mae and Osha from the coven. However, his actions inadvertently start a war with the witches.

When Torbin arrived at the coven, Sol followed, who wanted Osha and Mae. When Mother Aniseya (Jodie-Turner Smith) tried to vanish using her powers, Sol stabbed her with the lightsaber and started a fight between the Jedi and the Witches.

Mother Koril (Margarita Levieva) mind-controlled Kelnacca, turning him against Sol and Torbin, leading to a fight. Master Indara had to intervene to free Kelnacca.

In the process, however, she kills the other witches, leaving only Mae and Osha alive. When Master Sol is forced to choose between saving Mae or Osha, he decides to save Osha and takes her on as his padawan.

They blame the death of the witches on Mae, citing the fire she started. However, if Osha learns the truth, it could turn her against the Jedi, potentially making her their fiercest adversary.
