'The Acolyte' Episode 6 Preview: Dangerous twin to wreak havoc among Jedis
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Acolyte' Episode 5 premiered on Disney+ on June 25, 2024, and the much-anticipated 'Star Wars' action-adventure series had an exciting reveal in this latest episode as it finally revealed the mystery of the masked master.
Episode 5 was all about the action as the Jedi took on the masked master as Mae (Amandla Stenberg) and her twin Osha tried to escape the master, ultimately finding themselves face-to-face with each other. Throughout the episode, we see multiple deaths among the Jedi and we see one of the twins assume the identity of the other.
This sets up an exciting next episode. Here's everything we know about 'The Acolyte' Episode 6.
When will 'The Acolyte' Episode 6 release?
'The Acolyte' premiered its first two episodes on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, followed by the third episode on June 11, 2024, the fourth episode on June 18, 2024, and the fifth episode on June 25, 2024. It will follow a weekly schedule for the rest of the episodes of 'The Acolyte'.
As per the schedule, 'The Acolyte' Episode 6 is expected to be released on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. The episode is directed by Hanelle M. Culpepper
What happened in 'The Acolyte' Episode 5?
'The Acolyte' Episode 5 had a lot of action between the Jedi and the masked master who revealed himself to be Qimir (Manny Jacinto). He admits that the idea behind his killing the Jedi is that he wants to practice his powers without the rules and regulations of the Jedi. He kills Jecki Lon (Dafne Keen) and Yord Fandar (Charlie Barnett). Qimir also calls himself the Sith for the first time.
Qimir is disappointed in Mae and says that all he wants is a pupil -- which he expected Mae to be -- but Mae has betrayed him. He is about to kill Masater Sol (Lee Jung-jae) when Osha and Master Sol find a way to get rid of Qimir. Osha puts the pip on Qimir and that attracts the Umbramouths as they attack him and lift him away, but Mae depacitates Master Sol.
Mae hugs Osha and asks her to be with Mae, but Osha tries to arrest her. Mae then kills Osha instead. She cuts her hair off and assumes the identity of Osha as Master Sol wakes up. They go back together with Sol unaware of Mae's real identity
Qimir survives the Umbramoths and finds Osha dead. Bazil (Hassan Taj) witnesses Qimir's survival and follows Mae and Master Sol.
What to expect from 'The Acolyte' Episode 6?
With Mae now among the Jedis, she has access to the people she hates the most and she is angered by everything that happened to their coven when she was a child. She hasn't killed Master Sol despite her getting the opportunity to do so. What it does mean is that her intentions are far more diabolical than just killing Sol.
Qimir also talks about Master Sol having kept a secret from Osha and Master Sol says he will explain. In the coming episode, we might learn what the secret is and why Mae and Qimir are targeting Master Sol.
Also with Qimir still alive, we might see what he plans to do with his power, now that most of his targets are dead. He will have his plans against the Jedi too and with Master Sol alone now, he will take some stopping.
The only hope for the Jedi comes in the form of Bazil who knows that Qimir is alive and he might be the only chance that Master Sol has of surviving.
