'The 100' Season 7 Episode 5: Bellamy's fate hangs in the balance, but here's why fans shouldn't be worried
Spoilers for 'The 100' Season 7 Episode 5 'Welcome to Bardo'
After a long absence, the fifth episode of the final season of 'The 100' finally gave viewers their first glimpse of Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) who had been missing since the season premiere. This week's episode also let us know what happened when Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos) was taken to Bardo both times.
When Octavia is stabbed by Hope Diyoza (Shelby Flannery) and taken to Bardo for a second time, Anders (Neal McDonough), the leader of the Disciples on Bardo asks Octavia to get her brother to stand down. Just as she strikes a deal with Anders - she will tell him everything about Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) as long as he lets Bellamy go - another Disciple explodes a device, after which Bellamy and the Disciple he was holding disappear.
Fans were happy to see Bellamy back, as one person tweeted, "I'm not an emotional person But when Bellamy appeared I missed him so much I was ready to cry of how beautiful he looks." That soon changed.
Of course, with Bellamy's quick disappearance soon after his reappearance and Octavia being convinced her brother is dead, fans are devastated and in disbelief at the thought that Bellamy might be no more. One fan tweeted, "I refuse to believe Bellamy is dead #the100," while another wrote, "WHAT THE HELL DID THEY DO WITH MY SON BELLAMY #The100."
A viewer wrote, "F**KKK F**KKKK F**KKKKK HE'S NOT DEADDDDD RIGHTTTTT ????? #The100." Another added, "Im crying stop this madness what do you want from me #the100." One fan tweeted, "We see Bellamy and then he disappears again? I need to speak to the writers for this show immediately!!!"
However, fans suspect that Bellamy may still be alive, as one tweeted, "Bellamy isn't dead yall #the100 they wouldn't kill him off like that, and Jason [Rothenberg] said once I think that if someone is dead u will see the body."
We believe that Bellamy will return too. Before the explosion, Anders had entered a key into the anomaly stone. In fact, the man Bellamy is threatening disappears along with him and is played by Jonathan Scarfe - a prominent actor in 'Van Helsing' which also starred Richard Harmon in the latest season. We don't yet know the character's name, but it is likely that he and Bellamy were sent together, either to Sanctum or another planet (more likely the latter).
'The 100' airs on The CW on Wednesday nights at 8/7c.
