Spoilers for 'The 100' Season 7 Episode 10 'A Little Sacrifice'

What an episode it has been for 'The 100' this week, The CW show finally had its first casualty of the seventh and final season when a former antagonist sacrificed her life to teach her daughter to be better. We are talking about Charmaine Diyoza (Ivana Milicevic), of course, who joined the cast in Season 5 as one of the main antagonists for the season. Diyoza was an Eligius prisoner, who along with some others, revolted and took over control of Eligius IV. She was considered a criminal and a terrorist in the world before the first nuclear apocalypse. In fact, the travelers on Eligius III and their descendants, who now live on Sanctum, knew about her and she was put in their history books for her own reputation of being a war criminal.

Over the fifth season itself, we learned there was much more to Diyoza than was presented. She became an ally through the second half of Season 5 as she led the prisoners to form an alliance with Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) and the others. In Season 6, as she headed to Sanctum, Diyoza hoped for a fresh start for herself and her soon-to-be-born daughter, unfortunately, the Sanctum was not so forgiving and banished her from there. Her time on Skyring -- as seen in the latest season -- saw her form a formidable bond with Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos) as they raised Diyoza's daughter, Hope (Shelby Flannery).

Diyoza never wanted Hope to become like her or even know about her history. Unfortunately, when the Disciples came to Skyring and separate their family, Hope's life as she knew it was destroyed at a very young age. She had to harden and train to fight to rescue her mother and Aunty O and this is why she was so determined to make the Disciples this week.

Diyoza had seen what had become of Hope and instead, she set herself as an example and sacrificed herself to save Bardo. As she died, she told Hope, "Don't waste this, little one. Be better than me." And so came the end of one 'The 100's' most complex, most well-written characters and while we will miss her, we would hope that Hope gets a better arc in the future.

Fans were devastated and some even refused to accept it. "Woah, who would have guessed it? Diyoza goes out as a big damn hero!!! #The100," tweeted one, as another wrote, "NO DIYOZA NO NON NOOOOOOOO NOOOO I HATE YOU JASON I HATE YOU SON MUCH WHYYYYYYYY #The100," referring to the showrunner, Jason Rothenberg. A fan wrote, "There better be some reverse shit because I'm not accepting the fact that Diyoza is gone #The100."
