Leland Edge Middle School teacher fired for torturing students with high-pitched DOG whistle for 40 mins
NEVADA, TEXAS: A school teacher has reportedly been fired after she allegedly played a high-pitched dog whistle sound for around 40 minutes to discipline her students. The identity of the teacher has not been revealed but it has been said that she tortured the children at Leland Edge Middle School on March 2.
The sound was so disturbing that the students reportedly had to cover their ears. However, it’s not known yet why the teacher took such a step to punish kids. The unidentified woman was terminated from her job after the incident came to light. Police have also got involved in the case.

A girl named Zoey Lohrs who was in the class of that teacher on March 2 told NBC DFW, “She put on the ringing noise everyone was covering their ears. One of them walked out of the classroom, one of them was yelling that it was torture and one was trying to unplug the computer.”
Lohrs’ mother Janice said: “I would understand if the teacher used it for a split second to gain the attention of the class but not for the excess of 40 minutes. Not when kids are begging you to stop,” before noting: “I would really like her held accountable for her actions, this is not ok. You have my kid for eight hours a day. It's supposed to be a safe place.”
The school district also released a statement mentioning they have asked the teacher to leave and stated that “student health, safety and security remains the highest priority for the district.” The statement added: “The District will cooperate fully with local law enforcement agencies and the legal process. While CISD wants to be as open and honest as possible, we cannot comment further on this matter until the ongoing investigation has been concluded.”
In another unrelated incident, a teacher at Western Sydney University has been terminated after he allegedly played porn videos during an online class with his first-year students. It has been said that the incident happened on March 9 when the accused lecturer along with the other one was taking a session on ‘Introduction to essential skills for academic success’, via Zoom. Reportedly, 15 students were attending it. However, when the teacher decided to take a break, he apparently forgot to pause the virtual meeting and a screen from an adult site with the title '18+ Cams with Sexy Cam Girls' soon popped up, showing numerous inappropriate pictures of young women.
The incident has reportedly left students disturbed. A parent of one such student said: “She was very upset to the point where she thought about pulling out of university. A teacher should be a leader in the community, a father or mother figure, so I don't think he should be in that role. I'm dumbfounded that he would show that to young people. It's a breach of trust.”
The university also released a statement that read: “The university was made aware of an incident that occurred during a Zoom lesson on Wednesday, March 9, after receiving several complaints from students and parents. The university has taken swift action, standing down the academic in question while it completes a full and thorough investigation of this matter. It has also reached out to affected students to provide support.”
