Tenikle on 'Shark Tank': What is the cost, who are the founders and how to use the multi-purpose tripod
If you love capturing the perfect moment, then you know just how handy a tripod can be. As bulky as they are, they certainly get the job done. But that being said, it is not always easy to lug them around. So if you're a content creator, adventure junkie, or just looking to capture perfect photos no matter where you go, then the Tenikle is for you!
Season 13 of 'Shark Tank' has certainly seen a few hits and misses. While products like 'Pink Picasso' and 'SoaPen' walked away with deals, products like 'Love & Pebble' left empty-handed. So now the question is, does Tenikle have what it takes to bag a deal?

What is Tenikle?
Everyone loves taking photos. In this day and age, where phones dictate all that we do, people love capturing moments. But this often means that one person is stuck behind the camera. This can be particularly inconvenient when capturing group photos, solo images and even when you need a stable image. Traditional tripods aren't easy to carry around, and selfie sticks don't always cut it. The logic behind Tenikle is simple — created to imitate tentacles, this nifty device is easy to carry and use and promises perfect photos each time. As the name suggests, Tenikle is literally "Tripod + tentacles = a third hand to replace all other mount accessories"
Who are the founders of Tenikle?
Hans Dose is the founder of Tenikle. As the story goes, Hans and his now-wife, Lydia, were hiking when the pair realised they wanted to capture the moment. However, without his tripod on hand, Hans had to resort to a makeshift one, which involved him propping up his phone on a tree branch. As suspected, the phone ended up falling. However, when his phone screen cracked, Hans had a lightbulb moment. "Bummed about his broken screen, he clipped his banged-up phone onto his car mount to navigate their way home. It was then that he thought to himself, "I have this big, ugly car mount already, why couldn't it also be used as a tripod?" That's when the idea hit him — to combine all of the necessary tech essentials into one device," the couple recounted on the website. "Being inspired by the ocean, he thought to himself, "An octopus's tentacles are incredibly useful, what if I made a product that was actually a literal tentacle? I think it could work!," they added.
What is the cost and where to buy?
The Tenkile 360 comes in three colors and retails for $45.00. The brand also hosts a range of accessories and merchandise, all of which can be purchased on the website.
Where is Tenikle now?
Tenikle had an exciting start, seeing that they raised $110,000 out of their $30,000 goal on Kickstarter. The brand also raised another $65,000 through IndieGogo and other pre-order platforms. Taking feedback from its first 12,000 users, the brand reworked its product, focusing on longevity, quality, and suction strength, resulting in the Tenikle 360. Currently, Hans and Lydia are focusing on creating new products to grow the line.
Who will steal the deal?
Seeing that Mark Cuban is big on social media marketing, this seems like a product that might grab his attention as it is certainly a handy tool for social media users.
