Olivia Moon, otherwise a representation of Sleeping Beauty, is not the naïve, innocent kidnap victim we thought she was

Our Sleeping Beauty on ‘Tell Me A Story’ is neither sleeping nor is she just an innocent face.

In last week’s episode, we saw her escape from Tucker’s basement while he tried to outdo Brendan, and eventually killed him. Olivia almost managed to get out of the forest and reached the highway. Now, she could have easily hitched a ride and made for a run. But she comes back.

On this week’s episode, we see the ‘Maleficent’ in Olivia Moon. And that really piqued our interest in her character, if it had not done so already. She returns to Tucker and attacks him. After sedating him with the same drugs he used on her, she handcuffs and chains him, giving him a taste of his own medicine.

When Tucker wakes up, he is shocked, and so are we. The frightened, helpless, young girl has transformed into a cold, abrasive, and violent woman, who only wants to hurt Tucker.

At first, we think that maybe that’s the trauma talking. After all the pain and suffering she experienced, she only wanted her captor to feel what she felt. But that’s not the case. There are sides to Olivia Moon that are slowly unfolding, as she lets us into her character. She is insane and mentally sick, to the extent that she wants Tucker to break up with Maddie. She also thinks that she and Tucker are quite alike.

We might also agree to a certain point knowing both have a serious sadistic side, except that Tucker never tortured Olivia physically.

On the other hand, Olivia finds some hedonistic pleasure in being violent with people. We have seen instances of such behavior when we saw flashbacks of her killing her boyfriend.

Bringing life to this challenging character, Danielle Campbell shines with her incredible performance. Playing extreme shades of the same character, she proves her mettle as a talented actor and how befitting she is for her character.

As she had once promised in an interview, her character of Olivia is indeed full of mystery, dark and pretty twisted.

‘Tell Me A Story’ Season 2 airs every Thursday 12AM, only on CBS All Access.
