Andrew Glennon finally decided to break his silence in the latest episode (April 21) of 'Teen Mom OG'. Andrew made headlines for his split with Amber Portwood. He pressed domestic violence charges against Amber and released an audio and videotape of the incident to the media. The pair has since been in and out of court fighting for the custody of their son, James Andrew Glennon.

After months of 'Teen Mom OG' requesting Andrew to film, he finally agreed to tell his side of the story. Andrew decided to meet the crew at a different location as he said the house gave him the trauma of what had happened. Andrew admitted that he was surprised to see Amber behave in the way as she did because it was a side of her he had never seen before.

He revealed he had to call the cops but found himself in a very difficult situation "when one has to choose between love and fear, the simplest of solutions become the most difficult". Andrew was then asked by the producer about the recordings that were released to the media.

He admitted he started recording once the abuse started. He explained he wanted to record everything that was happening because no one would believe him otherwise. When asked about how many recordings he had, Andrew said while he did not have a count, he sent all of it to his sister as they were too hard for him to watch.

When the video and the audiotape were released in the media, it made headlines in every news outlet. Amber admitted she was embarrassed by what had happened and worried about what her children would think of her if they ever watched it. Andrew confessed he wasn't too proud of what happened and wondered how those tapes and videos would affect James's idea about his mother.

He further added he never wanted a broken family. He also spoke about Amber's mental health and agreed that it was of serious concern. He apologized for what had happened while adding that he felt like he just wanted "ownership" of what was happening around him.

While Andrew hinted he did not have plans for the future, one thing he was sure was to get a job and make sure their son James has a good life.

'Teen Mom: OG' airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on MTV.
