'Teen Mom OG': Amber Portwood feels 'ashamed' of not walking out of the house during domestic violence incident
'Teen Mom OG' is all set to come out with a brand new season and one thing to look forward to is the story of Amber Portwood. Portwood made headlines when she got arrested on account of domestic violence against her ex-boyfriend, Andrew Glennon. There was a series of audio and videotape that was released which showed the aggressive side of Portwood.
Since then, the couple has not been on talking terms but Glennon has bashed Portwood on social media on a number of occasions. With the show now coming with a new season, it will revolve around the domestic violence issue and how Portwood handled it.
In a sneak peek for the upcoming episode, Portwood can be seen sitting down with her ex Gary Shirley and opening up about the night when the incident took place. "The number one regret that I have is that I did not walk out of that house that night,” she said. “Now I look back and I’m so ashamed because all I keep thinking about is, ‘Amber, you should have walked out of the house."
She further added, “I just have a lot of guilt of not being aware of myself more than I should have. I really do feel ashamed that I didn’t have that. I should, after all, that the things that I’ve done to change.” The video also shows Glennon's side of the story and hints that he is still trying to process whatever had happened.
“It’s giving me anxiety,” he said. “It’s hard to sleep. It’s a total mess and it’s completely spiraled out of control. it’s really frustrating.” While the video hinted that there is a lot more to the story than what made headlines, there is no doubt that the viewers will get to hear both sides of the stories.
'Teen Mom OG' premieres on March 17 at 8 pm ET on MTV.
