'Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!', the documentary about the reality TV star and songstress Tamar Braxton drew to a close on Thursday, October 15. The finale episode was as messy as the other five episodes. Nothing concrete happened, and this episode had the most abrupt ending and there was nothing much for the audiences to take away from it. Viewers knew that this documentary series was about to be a rollercoaster right in July 2020 when Tamar attempted suicide and later hinted at WE tv, the network trying to control her and paint her in a certain kind of light. She didn't want the show to air and neither did she once promote it on any of her social media handles. As a sign of respect, the network decided to push the release of the show by a couple of days because of Tamar's hospitalization but was firm that they'd not cancel the show and air it as is, without any edits. Once the show began airing, it was quite clear to the audiences as to why Tamar didn't want it to air in the first place. If anything, she was seen as someone who has zero control over her temperament and was also seen putting her professional commitments on the backburner. Her then-fiance David Adefeso emerged as a control freak, and audiences immediately hated him.

Tamar seemed to be quite alright with David's controlling attitude. She even let go of her dream analyst and creative coach Goli Samii. Goli was badly insulted by David, was called a witch, and he questioned her motives at every turn, resulting in her reaching a breaking point and quitting the show. Tamar made no attempts to bring her back or get David to apologize. She said it was Goli's personal decision to leave and she could do nothing to bring her back, in a conversation with Mona Scott, in the final episode that aired on Thursday night. All of this just to appease David. He was the one who had allegedly found her unresponsive after an overdose and once she was out of the hospital, she took to Instagram to brand him as her "rock" as she waxed poetic about him in a long post that's now deleted. Turns out all of that was for nothing as the couple are no longer together. They broke up in the early days of September after a physical altercation.

According to a report by The Blast, sources revealed that the ex-couple got into a heated altercation while driving to check the reality star into a mental health facility for treatment. While on the way, Tamar questioned David about an Instagram post he shared featuring her 7-year-old son, Logan Herbert. The argument escalated and Tamar told David that he was "around for the wrong reasons and could not be trusted." The outlet also reported that Tamar claimed that David became, "irate, threatening not only her life but his own." She claims he said, they were going to end up in a "murder-suicide." After all that drama, David filed a restraining order against Tamar claiming he was a victim of domestic abuse and he didn't want her to contact her in any manner. The outlet also reported that he also "kicked Tamar and her son Logan out of their downtown L.A Condo."

Their two-year-old relationship ended in a messy manner but David didn't seem to take too much time to move on. On September 20, he was spotted out and about with a mystery woman, according to Distractify. Sources close to both Tamar and David have said that the woman in question is David’s new girlfriend and employee. David and his mystery woman have been together since earlier this year, including through all the times when David publicly spoke about how much he loved Tamar and that he'd be there to deal with all her issues, according to a source-based report by Hollywood Unlocked. David didn't wait long and went public with his new relationship days after his breakup with Tamar. Hollywood Unlocked's article about David and his new flame vacationing together led to fans speculating if infidelity was the reason his relationship with Tamar came to an end.
