BEIRUT, LEBANON: A scary turbulence got all passengers on the edge of their seats, and quite literally! The videos recorded while the jet shakes freakishly show food and drink all over the cabin. It happened on a flight headed from Angola to Portugal, which left at least 10 people injured. After the turbulence ended, people captured the aftermath where meals, trays, and plastic cutlery littered the aisles from March 23 incident.

As per local media reports, the flight Hi Fly flight is operated by TAAG Angola Airlines with eight of injured personnel requiring medical assistance. The injured also included two crew members. TAAG informed on the incident, 'adverse atmospheric conditions' caused the turbulence, while it was reportedly flying over the Democratic Republic of the Congo, according to Daily Mail. One of passengers, Diana Assis, who is also Brazilian influence captured the entire moment and posted online. It only lasted a few seconds but it was enough to leave some people injured and the crew provided first aid before landing,” Assis mentioned.

One injured woman said that her newborn baby took the beating too after losing the grip of parent’s hands, hitting the ceiling. The captain asked for doctor’s help to assist the baby. As per reports, many passengers showed signs of anxiety after arrival. The same airline TAAG was banned in July 2007 over safety concerns by the European Union.

'I thought we were going down'

In an unrelated similar incident in Washington, DC, passengers on the Lufthansa flight were allegedly told to delete the photos and videos of the traumatic incident after the plane plunged nearly 4,000 feet in massive turbulence. One passenger, Rolanda Schmidt told the flight crew announced the decision to delete all images twice before the plane's emergency landing took place on March 1 at Dulles Airport. "I think we were all just like, 'What?!  "I thought we were going down," she told Insider.
