'We were perplexed': T.I. responds after son King Harris threatens Waffle House employees over messed-up order
T.I. was perplexed by his son threatening Waffle House employees after a video surfaced showing King Harris getting into a violent confrontation at a Waffle House restaurant. On Saturday, May 28, a day after the incident, T.I. went on Instagram Live to discuss his son's verbal altercation with Waffle House personnel. He explained, “Of course, I spoke with my son. Me and his uncles. We were perplexed by his necessity to go back and forth with the short-order cook. I didn’t understand why he felt he needed to stop what he was doing to engage someone who's at another level of life.”
Tip went on to say that he encouraged his kid to stay away from public conflicts like that and just enjoy his life. “I had to explain to him that when people are not living like the way they hoped they would live and here you [are] walking in enjoying so much freedom and luxury and, you know, people are going to posture themselves a certain way. So, therefore, you are going to have to enjoy your life. You have to remove yourself from that energy and go enjoy your life,” he added.

According to Aceshowbiz, the verbal altercation between King Harris and a Waffle House employee occurred earlier this month, but the video of the event went viral on Thursday, May 26. The event was captured on King's Instagram Live. King was visibly irritated that his order contained unwelcome pickles, and he demanded a replacement. He seemed enraged when the clerk informed him he couldn't cuss in the restaurant when he returned to Waffle House to have his meal changed. Things went bad from there.
King got into a verbal spat with another employee who didn't appreciate his erratic conduct after yelling out at the cashier. When asked his name, King responded with a retort, "My name is King. You know it and your mama knows it.” When one of the workers proposed that they go outside and throw hands, King sprung to his feet and proclaimed that he was ready for fisticuffs. King finally had his order changed, but not before taunting the Waffle House employee and threatening to ‘pistol-whip’ him. The teenager has subsequently been chastised for his attitude on social media as one person wrote, "He feels like since he TI son he can go around the city and feel untouchable." "So he thinks he can't be touched because he's tiny and T.I. son like you really need to relax," another user added.
