'Let's Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince' the CBS special that honors the powerful legacy of Prince is underway with a list of featured performances by musical heavyweights such as John Legend, Foo Fighters and Usher.

Actress and comedian Maya Rudolph hosts the show and will also perform with her Prince cover band. Following several powerful tributes to Prince and Misty Copeland's heartwarming message about femininity, Coldplay singer Chris Martin shared the stage with Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles to sing an acoustic-piano rendition of 'Manic Monday', the 1986 hit by The Bangles off their studio album 'Different Light'. The song was penned by Prince. The performance began straight off the bat in a pitch-perfect harmony vocal performance with both artistes and we wonder why we never thought of this vocal pairing before.

'Manic Monday' was the first single released off 'Different Light' and was written by His Royal Badness using the pseudonym Christopher. It was originally intended for the group Apollonia 6 in 1984. According to the lyrics, the song describes a woman who is waking up to go to work on Monday, wishing it was still Sunday so she could continue relaxing.

Fans were quick to comment on their duet and were amazed to see Hoffs perform. "Wow! @SusannaHoffs still has killer pipes and is still ridiculously hot! Wow!" said a fan while another said, "Loved this acoustic 'manic monday' beautiful...susanna hoffs & chris martin. PRINCE POETRY!"

Another fan says, "Susanna Hoffs looks amazing.  She and Chris Martin gave a beautiful rendition of Manic Monday. "and time, it goes so fast..." I think #Prince would approve.  #Prince4Ever #Prince #GRAMMYSalutePrince" One fan included Martin and Hoff's performance in the list of their favorites so far.

"Manic Monday" really is one of my fave #Prince-penned songs and when you hear it, it’s got the “Prince” of that era’s fingerprints ALL over it. Susanna Hoff’s doing a slower, ballad-like version of it w/Chris Martin of Coldplay playing piano," says a fan.

Another fan spoke about the perfect blend of their vocals, saying "@SusannaHoffs is killin’ it on the Prince tribute! Beautiful job!! Chris Martin was a perfect companion to harmonize and play! Love this version!!!"
