Yara tribe members are having a very good time in the latest episode, a day after they ousted Rob Mariano. Ben listed Rob's evident lack of respect for tribe newbies that led to his elimination. Adam, on the other hand, was a bit nervous about Ben's growing connection with Sarah and Sophie. He felt like an outsider and he could see himself being voted out if they were to go to the council at the end of the next challenge.

In last week’s episode of 'Survivors: Winners at War', Rob Mariano was sent packing to the Edge of Extinction for the time being. After his “buddy system” plan failed him at the Yara tribe, he was unanimously voted out by Adam, Ben Driebergen, Sophie Clarke and Sarah Lacina. He then joined his wife, Amber Mariano, at the Edge of Extinction along with Natalie Anderson, Danni Boatwright, Ethan Zohn and Tyson Apostol.

At the EoE, Rob along with the others were offered a chance to earn a fire token. All of them were given a clue and they began their search around the island for the same. Tyson was the only one along with Rob who didn't have a fire token at the moment and the former clung to the clue “at the right place at the right time,” and his mind immediately started to think of the tide that comes in and out with time. Turns out he was right. He did retrieve the package hidden in the rocks during low tide. Inside, he found an idol nullifier that he could sell to a player in the game for a fire token.

Tyson was successful in selling the nullifier to Parvati in lieu of a fire token with which he immediately purchased a jar of peanut butter for himself. He is then seen relishing it with great joy but the real reason he purchased it was not just for the taste of it. He wanted to secretly keep his calories in check and his energy levels high in order to prepare for the upcoming challenge that would help him return to the game. An interesting thing to note here is how Tyson doesn't think twice before using his fire token that he just earned while Natalie is seen hoarding her tokens, she currently has four of them.

It's Day 16 and the three tribes arrived on the beach for their next challenge where Dakal and Sele found out Rob's elimination. For the challenge, the three tribes had to journey into the water for bags of rice that had balls hidden in them that they’d use to maneuver through a maze in order to earn immunity. Immunity was up for grabs only for one tribe for this challenge and the rest two would have to go to tribal council separately. Both Sandra and Michele Fitzgerald decided to sit out the challenge from their teams.

Sele were in the lead with all three of their bags through the gated barrier and on to the beach before the other two. Yara whizzed past Dakal when Kim Spradlin-Wolfe and Denise struggled with carrying the heavy rice bags along the sand. Ben was able to move ahead of Sele's Wendell Holland in the second stage of the race, getting Sophie and Nick Wilson to their mazes quicker than Dakal who put Jeremy Collins on their maze. Wendell's overconfidence caused a screwup for his team and Sophie took up a lead for hers. After making their first ball Sophie was able to easily get a second one through the maze and into their third slot before Nick could make it happen for Sele. Yara won the challenge and the other two tribes were up for elimination.

Back at the Sele camp, Parvati felt endangered, especially after Rob was voted out. The idol nullifier she just bought from Tyson wasn’t of much help because she clearly didn't have the numbers. Nick seemed drawn to her and thought he’d want to work with her in the game, but now she’s in an alliance with the guys that want to vote her out. Later on, on the beach, Parvati and Michele discussed how Nick was their only option as both Yul Kwon and Wendell were coming off as closed off. Michele found herself in a very Michele felt in a particularly uncertain position because she knew she couldn’t save Parvati and this led her to speak with Wendell in a bid to figure out a way that could benefit her. Her idea was to vote Wendell out so Parvati would give her the token. That rubbed Wendell the wrong way and made him second guess all the trust he was putting in her.

Later Wendell and Parvati were discussing working together and Wendell told her that he would vote out anyone she'd want him to if she could part with two fire tokens. She approached Nick with this conversation and tried to turn him against Wendell. Nick was upset about this as he and Wendell had a talk earlier about going to the end together. Later, Michele spoke to Nick and confessed that she trusts Parvati more than she trusts Wendell. Nick evaluated his position and he knew Parvati was a "visible threat" and he saw Wendell as a "hidden threat.

At camp Dakal, Tony Vlachos skipped off to hide in his spy shack after worries of Kim and Sandra possibly flipping on him despite them having the numbers advantage based on original tribes, overwhelmed him. From his secret shack, he could overhear the other four discuss his whereabouts and also heard Jeremy's attempt to work over Sandra. Both he and Denise knew they lacked numbers and considered to pull out their respective advantages: Jeremy’s “safety without power” wherein he could leave tribal council and be immune to leave tribal and Denise’s hidden immunity idol.

Tony was still missing from the camp following which everyone start discussing to get rid of him instead. He finally emerged from his shelter and had to confess to Kim and Sandra that he was stressed out. Sandra offered her immunity idol to Denise for two fire tokens so that she could protect herself and vote out Tony. Denise took it up and struck a deal with Sandra wherein she paid her one fire token upfront in lieu of the idol and promised to pay the other one after they return back to camp post tribal council.

At the first tribal council of the night, it was Sele that was up for elimination. Wendell said he was willing to stab people in the back and in the front while Michele and Parvati trashed Wendell's POV and painted him in a negative light to tribemate Nick. The votes were cast and without an idol in play, host Jeff read their votes: Parvati, Wendell, Parvati, Wendell, Parvati. On her way out, Parvati left all three of her tokens to Michele.

Dakal walked into the tribal council wherein Sandra listed Denise as someone who isn't a threat to anyone in the game whereas she named herself, Rob and Tony as threats. The votes were cast once again and Denise requested to play her idol and all the votes that were cast against here wouldn't be counted. Jeff was about to start counting the votes when Denise interrupted him once again and used another idol to safeguard Jeremy. Jeff read the votes: Denise, Denise, Denise, Denise, Sandra. In one of the biggest moves in Survivor history, Denise not only saved herself and Jeremy in the game, but also took Sandra out. Sandra left all her tokens to Yul Kwon on her way out.
