Who is Heather Aldret?

Heather Aldret is a 52-year-old stay-at-home mom from Charleston, SC. Her hobbies include exploring, painting, tennis, and pickleball. She describes herself as authentic, passionate, devoted, and considers loud cell phone talkers, people who choose not to hear the truth, and bullies to be among her pet peeves. Aldret has two children, a 12-year-old and a 15-year-old. Before being a stay-at-home mom, she worked in real estate for 10 years, where she brought properties and flipped them. She did all the construction work herself, save for electrical and roofing. She was also an elementary school teacher.

She's been a fan of the show for 20 years

In a conversation with Parade, she revealed that she's been a long-time fan of the show. "Oh, I have a good history with watching 'Survivor'. I think I was addicted to 'Survivor' by the end of season two. In season one, I started watching it towards the middle because I could hear all the talk about it," she said. "But by the end of season two, I was hooked. And I got hooked with my boyfriend back then, who is now my husband. I have been watching this with him for 20 years. And now we have even introduced it to our children. It's become our tradition; on Wednesdays is 'Survivor' night," she explained.

Aldret believes her attention to detail will help her win

Apart from being a long-time fan of the show, Aldret believes she has all the qualities required to stick around right until the end.

"I'm sharp and observant, like OCD observant. I'm surprisingly very strong and have a ridiculously high threshold for pain. I'm resilient. I'm daring but careful. I build strong relationships. I'm likable and entertaining. I listen and learn," she explained.

She also plans on taking inspiration from past players like Rick Devens from 'Survivor: Edge of Extinction', Tina Wesson, the winner of Survivor: The Australian Outback, Lisa Whelchel from 'Survivor: Philippines' and Chrissy Hofbeck from 'Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers'. As she explains it, each player's unique playing style is sure to help her.

"Rick Devens – he played so hard with everything he had. Even when it was getting bad, he made his time fun! I want to make my experience a truly fun adventure, even if only for myself. I want to belly laugh when it's so tough," she said.

"Tina Wesson – she was calculated, direct, but kind. Age and stature and her nurturing persona played in her favor, she inspired me. I'd embody the kindness of Lisa Whelchel, but with the savviness of Chrissy Hofbeck," Aldret explained.
