ROME, ITALY: Netflix's upcoming docuseries 'Supersex' which is based on the real-life story of Italian pornstar Rocco Siffredi is all set to hit screens on Wednesday, March 6.
Directed by Francesco Carrozzini, the series follows Siffredi's family, his origins, his relationship, and what led him to walk on his path in pornography.
While the series delves into various characters from Siffredi's life, Moana Pozzi stands out the brightest.
Italian actress and porn star, Moana Pozzi, who is best known for her roles in over 100 pornographic films, is portrayed by Gaia Messerklinger in Netflix's 'Supersex'.
Pozzi's life was shrouded in controversy, and that continued even after her death. As per reports, Pozzi died on 15 September 1994, at the age of 33 due to liver cancer in Lyon, France.
However, ever since her "mysterious" death, there have been speculations and conspiracy theories regarding her.
How did Moana Pozzi really die?
In 2007, after news reports emerged questioning the official cause of her death, her husband, Antonio di Ciesco, claimed that he had euthanized Pozzi as her health deteriorated, as per her request, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Pozzi reportedly started falling ill in the summer of 1994 and was unable to eat without vomiting and losing weight. The couple then took time off and traveled to India and then entered a clinic in Lyon, France, where she died.

There is a theory that Pozzi was a KGB agent, deployed to destabilize Italy in the 1980s, according to the Italian documentary 'Mistero'. The documentary also claimed that she was allegedly poisoned with polonium once she proved useless to them.
