'Supernatural' Season 15 Episode 4: The CW show returns to the monster-of-the-week after a short break and fans are divided over it

'Atomic Monsters' also promises to be one of the lighter episodes of the season, with Dean being on the receiving end of many teenagers' age-shaming jokes.

After a week-long break, 'Supernatural' is returning to The CW with Season 15 Episode 4 on Thursday, November 7, and it's going to shake things up a little bit. This season, started with Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) trying to stop all the souls that escaped Hell from haunting the world and has been focused on that up until Episode 3. The episode saw many deaths, including that of Rowena (Ruth Connell) and Ketch (David Haydn-Jones). The episode also saw Cas (Misha Collins), who is tired of Dean's aggression towards him, splitting from the gang.

The upcoming 'Atomic Monsters' will break away from the undoing of God's (Rob Benedict) smite and go back to the show's monster-of-the-week roots. The Winchester brothers seem to believe that they have stopped the last apocalypse - at this point, we cannot even count how many they have stopped - and are focused on the hunt. This particular one sees them hunting a vampire at a high school, that clearly holds their football game more important than the murder of their students.

'Atomic Monsters' also promises to be one of the lighter episodes of the season, with Dean being on the receiving end of many teenagers' age-shaming jokes. The episode also takes off the steam a little after the shocking deaths of the previous episode, which many fans find bothersome, with many claiming that they had expected this final season to not have monster-of-the-week episodes.

One fan commented on YouTube, "enough fillers, this season needs to be different from others. it needs to answer previous questions. the writers need to step up, we've seen monster hunting over and over and over. i want more plot. less bullshit. season 15 is it, so make it worthwhile. this is embarrassing. [sic]", while another opined, "So they really just gunna pretend that Dean and Cas didn't just divorce and that Sam heart breakingly had to kill Rowena!!!???? [sic]"

Meanwhile, some other fans believe that the monster-of-the-week episodes is a nostalgia trip for the fans who have only a few more episodes left before the show ends. Season 15 Episode 4 of 'Supernatural', which airs on Thursday, November 7, will be like a trip down memory lane, they believe. What do you think?
