'Supernatural' Season 15 Episode 14: 'Where is Cas?' Upset fans hilariously explain Misha Collins' absence

To sum it up, fans, displeased and frustrated at Cas's absence, believe all of this was an elaborate stunt to stretch over the time slot

'Supernatural' just returned from its hiatus in between Season 15 and while that was pretty much a banger, fans are now left a little bit upset and riled up. The reason? Well, a certain favorite angel was missing. Soon as the show began airing the much-awaited mid-season premiere for its final set of episodes, its gigantic fanbase got too invested looking for their favorite - Castiel. That's right, Misha Collins's iconic fan-favorite character was significantly missing from the premiere which was emotional, action-packed, and celebratory in equal parts. But while fans flocked to social media to ask the question 'WHERE's CAS?', screaming in all caps, some even busied themselves in coming up with answers to explain the absence. 

The episode that revolved around wood nymphs and Nazi monsters also managed to get quite wholesome at certain scenes. Take for example the glorious birthday celebration where they partied and cheered on one another. All the three pivotal men - Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles), Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki), and Alexander Calvert as Jack Kline were present. And although Jack surreptitiously emerged as the third musketeer that has usually been Cas, it didn't take long for fans to notice that the only thing that could have made Dean bake a cake for Jack better, was him being present.

Taking it to Twitter, sharing a photo of the three men enjoying birthday dinner together, a fan wrote "I really love this parts of the episode but cas should have been here."

Others were left angry about leaving Cas out of Jack's birthday purely because of the two's bond and history together. "They had an episode about Jack's birthday without Cas. Seriously the character that believed in him before he was born, made a deal, his own life to bring him back. An episode about family without Cas," complained a fan. 

For those wondering where Cas is, he's been AWOL making a deal with Amara for obvious reasons. But while he wanders off into newer, darker territories, with the promo for the next episode hinting at some Cas-heavy moments, the premiere prompted some fans to look for ways to explain this absence. "The reason cas isn’t in this episode is cause their problem would’ve been solved fast and they need to fill their time slot, in conclusion: cas is big brained," shared a fan on Twitter. 

Other plausible reasons were "Cas wasnt in this episode because as soon he saw mrs butters he would’ve known it was all bullshit." 

But the in-general reaction to the premiere was summed up best by this fan's disappointment. "Didn't even watch the ep yet and I'm already mad at the lack of cas >:( ," they shared.
