Contains spoilers for 'Sugar'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Apple TV+'s latest mystery series, 'Sugar', starring Colin Farrel, has intrigued fans with its highly suspenseful plot.
John Sugar (played by Farrell) is hired by Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel to find his missing granddaughter, Olivia Siegel. As Sugar arrives in Los Angeles and dives deeper into Olivia's life, he begins to unravel startling secrets about her own family.
What has happened to Olivia Siegel in Apple TV+'s 'Sugar'?
Olivia's case starts off with intense revelations. Apart from a yet-to-be-disclosed connection with her dead mother, in the first episode, we discover a dead body in the trunk of her car. This gives us enough hints that Olivia is in deep trouble.
It is then revealed that she witnessed the murder of Carmen Vasquez and in self-defense, killed Clifford Carter. Olivia was last seen by her stepmother Melanie Matthews, who helped her put Clifford's dead body into her car.
Up until Episode 3, it remained unclear if Olivia was even alive or not. However, Episode 4 hints that she is alive, though potentially facing a threat.
Where is Olivia Siegel in Apple TV+'s 'Sugar'?
Even though it remains unclear, we speculate that Olivia is in the custody of Byron Stallings, a previously convicted criminal.
We have seen Olivia's locket at his shelter and the way he has kept a door locked with a female associate to keep a look in his absence, we can assume that Olivia is definitely being held hostage in Byron's basement.
The motive behind Olivia's kidnapping is still unknown, but we can assume that it has something to do with Olivia's step-brother Davy Siegel. Olivia knew that Davy had harassed several women. And Olivia, being a women's rights activist, must have decided to expose the criminals in her own backyard.
In order to keep his image clean and save himself from being charged, Davy must have plotted against Olivia and hired Byron to act on his behalf. It is only a matter of time before John Sugar starts digging further into Byron Stallings and learn about Olivia's whereabouts.
'Sugar' is available to stream on Apple TV+.
