'Succession's 'Connor's Wedding' gets perfect 10 rating on IMDb, fans say truly a 'perfect episode'

'Connor's Wedding' is only the second episode in TV history to receive a perfect 10-rating on IMDb

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: There were no doubts that ‘Succession’s ‘Connor Wedding’ was the best episode of the blockbuster series, but it seems that the episode might have surpassed all the expectations to become the finest episode of TV of all time. The third episode of the HBO series didn’t take much time in breaking the internet and featured one of the most startling scenes ever. Recently, the production giant announced that the third episode of the ongoing Season 4 achieved a new high in viewership, raking in record numbers of viewers and now, it has taken the top spot in the list of highest-rated TV episodes of all time on IMDd.

With close to 17,000 votes, the episode has garnered a perfect score of 10 from the fans on the review site IMDb. ‘Connor’s Wedding’ is only the second episode in the history of television to receive a score of 10 on IMDb. The first was ‘Ozymandias’ from the AMC series ‘Breaking Bad’. As per IMDb, 92.9% of the people gave the episode a perfect rating of 10 while 3.2% of the voters gave it a 9.

Is a potential spinoff of HBO's 'Succession' in the works?

While writing a review, one user wrote on IMDb that it was “destined to become one of the greatest episodes of television.” Meanwhile, another user wrote that “this is the ‘The Beatles’ of television episodes.” Another review on the show’s IMDb page read, “I’m still reeling from that, more than 24 hours later. What else is there to say? If this episode doesn’t absolutely sweep at the Emmys, then there’s more politics among voters than the Roy siblings themselves. In all seriousness – this show is an absolute blessing & I’m as nervous & excited for the rest of this final season.”

Social media was in awe of the episode and didn’t hold their excitement when the aforementioned news surfaced online.

One of the fans wrote, “It was smart, emotional, Funny, and shocking.” Another fan tweeted, “Because it is one of the greatest episodes of television. Words cannot explain how good the writing and directing were in this episode. It felt SO real.” Another social media user tweeted, “The perfect episode; so good to see real cinema these days.” Another fan wrote, “One of the Greatest shows I've ever seen. Definitely top 3 best episodes in my book.” Another social media user noted, “One of the best things done in television history, well deserved.”

“They are going to SWEEP come award season,” wrote another fan. “Truly, a perfect episode,” tweeted another fan.

‘Connor’s Wedding’ primarily focused on the wedding of Connor and Willa, but Logan’s death changed the entire mood of the episode. So, it doesn’t come as a shock that a lot of people turned in to watch the show and gave glaring reviews. The numbers could go higher next week because fans would want to know how the Roy siblings will take care of the family business and who will take their father’s position in the company.
