Spoilers for 'Suburra: Blood on Rome' Season 3

As Netflix's 'Suburra: La Series' moves on from the firm grasp of Sara Monaschi over the Church and Amadeo Cinaglia's rise to political power in its debut season, the second season sees the bloom of brotherhood between rival mafia families of Ostia's Adamis and Sinti's Anacletis. The union happens between Aureliano Adami and Alberto "Spadino" Anacleti as they lose their third counterpart, Lele to a tragic suicide at the end of Season 2. Thus the arc of Season 3 focuses on vengeance and the duo's first target is none other than Samurai himself. They achieve that feat through blackmailing Cinaglia, but soon after, they also realize that the Mayor of Rome himself is quite the tough nut to crack. But Aureliano and Spadino accomplish that feat too, and all it takes is a sauna, some questionably cooked pasta, and of course - effective threatening.

When we meet Cinaglia, he is under pressure from both the rising duo, as well as his wife, Alice who leaves him upon discovering the levels he is ready to stoop for political gain. Cinaglia, however, keeps his ties with Samurai's trusted accomplices, even though he is constantly being threatened by Aureliano and Spadino to work for them. Secretly, Cinaglia is also working with Spadino's hospital returned brother Manfredi, who plans on taking the Anacleti reigns back from his younger brother, and thus wants the duo gone for good. But before Cinaglia's plans can be put to action, Aureliano and Spadino decide to teach him a lesson by gifting him a surprise visit at his now near-vacant home.

Aureliano and Spadino show up with the intent to hurt, and Cinaglia knows it too well to think otherwise. Pleading and begging to no avail, Cinaglia finds himself locked up in his fancy apartment's inform sauna with the other two men setting a timer at the highest temperature, as they take some time off to cook pasta in Cinaglia's equally fancy kitchen. The parallels of Aureliano and Spadino cooking pasta, having fun, and bonding as Cinaglia stews inside the sauna is not only therapeutic but also offers some cathartic relief to viewers who have watched this "bald f*cker" snivel and sneak around the streets of Rome to accomplish his self-serving, selfish greed. It's one of the many lighthearted moments of the show that highlights just how far these two rivals have come.

After 10 minutes or so, when the timer of the sauna finally goes off, Aureliano and Spadino decide to check up on Cinaglia, who's red and passed out from the heat of practically broiling inside - almost as if in hellfire - of the sauna. They bring Cinaglia to consciousness and leave this as a reminding sign of who runs the game now that Samurai is dead. Cinaglia seems to take the hint though, or at least be terrified enough to reach out to Manfredi to take these two newbies down, but the message is sent loud and clear. The two are not to be messed with, going forward.

'Suburra: Blood on Rome' Season 3 is now available for streaming only on Netflix.
