Is Dr Brenner the HELL MASTER? 'Stranger Things' Season 4 clip gives birth to baffling theory
Season 4 of ‘Stranger Things’ is just around the corner and fans cannot wait to see what lies ahead for the genius students of Hawkins. The gang is ready for their next adventure and they will be returning to Hawkins in order to help the town from a supernatural villain. As soon as the trailer for Season 4 dropped in April, fans have been trying to decipher it and finding clues about what might happen in the show’s fourth edition.
One fan did manage to find something interesting in the trailer and it seems, the clip has one substantial clue about this season’s villain. Now, we know that the new villain comes from upside down, but the best thing about the Netflix series is that it also includes a human villain in every season. Coming back to the trailer, a TikTok user named Woozzs found a hidden message at the 1:59 mark. If you watch the trailer and set the speed to 0.25 on YouTube, you’ll see six portals opening up in what looks like Upside Down’s sky.
Looking closely, we found that these portals have been divided into four groups and each one has timestamps: 1:46, 2:33: 33, and :52.

So, the TikTok user decided to see what happens when the trailer reaches the aforementioned time stamps and the results were baffling.
‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Theory: Who is the HELL MASTER?
When we tried to do the same, we found that when we reach the 1:46 mark, the portal points at “hi” in the Lenora Hills Treasurer sign. Meanwhile, when we stop at 2:33, it points at “hell” on the Hellfire Club t-shirt that Mike is wearing; 0:33 points at the “I”, “A”, and “M” on Billy’s tombstone.
Finally, the:52 frame points at “Master” in a sign at Eddie Munson’s record store. So, when you rearrange these words, it becomes “Hi, I am Hell Master.” That’s not all.
“I am a Hell Master” is also a link to a website that lets you enter the mysterious world of ‘Stranger Things’. As soon as you enter the website, you will be playing a game to open the portal for upside down. However, we are more interested in knowing who could be the Hell Master.
Is Brenner the Hell Master?
Now, if you don’t know what Hell Master is, then it seems you haven’t played ‘Dungeons & Dragons’. Hell Master is someone who knows everything about the nine hells and has the power of summoning the devils from the lower part of the hell. Now, only a person who has done a lot of research on it can become a Hell Master and we thought that it could the Hell Master might be Dr. Brenner himself.
Although we haven’t seen him since Season 1, it was revealed that Brenner didn’t in the first edition. He survived the attack, but we don’t know where he is right now. So, it is possible that he might be continuing his research wherever he is and got to know more about Upside Down. With so much research and experiment, he would have the ability to call any type of supernatural creature from the realms of hell.
