'Stranger Things' season 3: Dustin finally has a girlfriend called Suzie, do you copy?

Our man Dustin went all the way to science camp for the summer and got himself a girlfriend. Do you think his friends believed him?

This article contains spoilers for stranger Things season 3.

Remember when the official posters of 'Stranger Things' season 3 gave off the hint that Dustin might be the one to get left out of his Dungeons and Dragons gang for being the only uncool one without a girlfriend? Well, in your face haters, because Dustin has a girlfriend called Suzie, and she is actually super real!

Our man Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) went all the way to science camp for the summer and got himself a girlfriend. After an entire year of watching Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Mike (Finn Wolfhard) come closer and develop a bond that finally culminated in a kiss, you could say Dustin had some strong inspiration on how to go about the whole relationship thing. Plus, the whole love triangle between him, the then-new addition Max (Sadie Sink) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) in season 2 which ended with Max choosing Lucas over Dustin must have ended in heartbreak too. So our thrill and joy knew no bounds when Suzie turned out to be really real!

The first time we hear of Suzie is when Dustin mentions he has developed an electronic device called 'Cerebro' that uses radio signals to communicate over long distances via walkie talkies. Why the added pain for long distance conversations you ask? Because Suzie's family are Mormons meaning they have electricity and cars, but won't approve of a boyfriend out of their community. So Dustin actually structures this new device to talk to the girl, who for the most part, is believed to be imaginary.

But in the end, we find out that we were wrong and it's the best revelation ever because she calls him 'Dusty-bun' and he calls her 'Suzie-poo'! Dustin contacts her because she is the only precious whiz-kid genius enough to know Planck's number, which he and his older friends aka Hopper (David Harbour) and Joyce (Winona Ryder) need to get into the secret vault to stop the Russians from opening up the gate to the Upside Down.

However, Suzie is one solid girlfriend, who knows what she wants and won't settle for anything less. She tells Dustin that all of his fighting monsters and Russians to save the world plans can go to hell if he doesn't sing with her, their own song, 'The Neverending Story' first. After a lot of back and forth convincing, Dustin finally gives in and over the walkie talkie - in front of literally every single friend of his - he ends up performing the colorful duet about childhood romance and all things hopeful. It was the best in-your-face moment for Dustin that we could have asked for. Our boy is all grown up and his girlfriend is just as amazing a genius as he is.

'Stranger Things' season 3 premiered on July 4  and is available for streaming on Netflix.
