Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon said a second term for Republican candidate Donald Trump should start putting severed heads of Dr Anthony Fauci and FBI director Christopher Wray on pikes at two corners of the White House "as a warning".

The unruly comments from Bannon were made on his podcast The War Room on November 5. Steve Bannon, Trump's former senior counselor, said putting the heads of the medical expert and FBI director on pikes would be more suitable than a simple firing. "The second term kicks off with firing Wray, firing Fauci, no I actually want to go a step farther but the president is a kind-hearted man and a good man," Bannon iterated.

He elaborated, “I’d actually like to go back to the old times of Tudor England. I’d put the heads on pikes, right, I’d put them at the two corners of the White House as a warning to federal bureaucrats. You either get with the program or you’re gone. Time to stop playing games. Blow it all up, put Ric Grenell today as the interim head of the FBI, that’ll light them up, right?”

When co-host Jack Maxey noted that traitors used to be hanged, Bannon responded, “That’s how you won the revolution. No one wants to talk about it. The revolution wasn't some sort of garden party, right? It was a civil war.” A user posted the video. On November 5, a Twitter page for Bannon’s ‘War Room’ podcast had been suspended. As per reports, the micro-blogging site did not serve an explanation for the suspension.

Previously, Trump has fumed over Wray and Fauci and hinted at firing them. Trump has claimed to fire Fauci, the country's top infectious disease expert. POTUS, in his Florida rally in October, expressed frustration over surging cases of Covid-19 being in headlines. He sparked chants of “Fire Fauci” from his supporters in the rally and said in response to chants, “Don’t tell anybody but let me wait until a little bit after the election.”

Trump has also expressed his disdain for FBI Director Wray. He has flogged him over matters ranging from Russia’s interference in US elections and the threat posed by left-wing protesters to allegations of voter fraud, reportedly hunting that he may fire him.

Now as Steve Bannon calls for the beheading of two notable personalities Dr Fauci and FBI Director Wray, the Internet has poured in reactions. Some speculate that his Twitter has been suspended due to such outrageous comments. Others alleged he should be in “jail”. Previously, Bannon, who is reportedly the architect of Trump’s 2016 general election campaign, was charged with defrauding donors to a private fund-raising effort called ‘We Build the Wall’. The New York Times reported, Bannon, “conspired to cheat hundreds of thousands of donors by falsely promising that their money had been set aside” for the fundraising effort. However, he was accused to reportedly use funds to pay for his personal expenses.

Actor Jon Favreau tweeted, “I’m not going to share the video, but Steve Bannon called for the beheading of Dr. Fauci and FBI Director Chris Wray. Political reporters who still interview him and go to him for quotes like he’s a legitimate public figure: maybe stop doing that?”

An epidemiologist wrote on Twitter, “BOOM. Twitter has suspended Steve Bannon’s show. Bannon had just earlier advocated for the beheading of Fauci and FBI Director Wray. Good move for Twitter—but will YouTube follow?” A user wrote what a vitriolic climate is ensuing in the US, “Steve Bannon calls for the beheading of Dr. Fauci and the director of the FBI and then at the Trump rally, alongside Eric Trump...Vernon Jones says we are ready for the shooting to begin. This is what Trump has turned the US into. Trump wants blood on the streets.”

Another concurred, “This is the hate, bigotry, and entitlement that needs to be not only voted out but jailed.  @SteveBannon  you are a sick man. Go away.” A user wrote, “Advocating murder is still illegal, right? Isn't threatening the life of the head of the FBI a crime? So when will Steve Bannon be arrested? I mean, when will he be arrested again?.” A user said he should be in jail, “Steve Bannon calling for civil war and beheading Fauci and Wray for not getting with the program. Following his indictment for stealing from the Wall donors, has come out of the closet as a domestic terrorist. He should be in jail, awaiting trial.”
