Steve Aoki is responding to ongoing fan requests for an official music video for his track 'Girl'. The renowned DJ and producer took to social media to share a preview of the official visual for the track and announce the release date. The music video is scheduled for a release on Saturday, July 18, although Aoki has teased it may drop earlier based on fan reactions.

'Hate to spoil the news but u asked for it & u got it. The GIRL music video ft. @agnezmo and @lifeofdesiigner dropping this Saturday," he began his announcement on both Instagram and Twitter, adding, "Drop a πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ if u want this sooner." On Twitter, Aoki also noted, "record the date. And wait for more info."

'Girl' features on Aoki's sixth and latest studio album 'Neon Future IV', which released this April through his independent label Dim Mak Records. The track features Indonesian singer-songwriter Agnez Mo and American rapper, singer-songwriter Desiigner. In the clip we see the trio of collaborators on video calls with each other, performing to the camera from their respective homes and adhering to social distancing guidelines.

Apart from the numerous πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ emojis found in both social media platforms, fans have flooded the comments with other enthusiastic emojis and replies. An eager superfan demands, "Drop it now!!"

Fans also shared much love for Agnez in the comments, saying, "Can't Wait. Everybody love you crazy girl" and "She’s hella hot!" and "Screaming her name! Girlllllll @agnezmo."

'Neon Future IV' follows after his 2018 album 'Neon Future III'. The album contains a host of collaborative songs from the likes of Norwegian producer Alan Walker, Brazilian DJ Alok, Australian musician Timmy Trumpet, German DJ Felix Jaehn, American DJs Slushii, Travis Barker and Makj, Dutch DJs Ummet Ozcan, Dzeko and Dr Phunk and Dutch bands Showtek, Bassjackers and Going Deeper.

Aoki spoke about the challenge he faced producing during the coronavirus pandemic and the album's inspiration in a Billboard Live interview. "We're stuck here, so...we turned it into a fun interaction. I'm doing the Instagram Lives; I'm forcing myself to work out every single day. It's actually been really, really great," he said. "I've done a 15-day boot camp challenge where I work out and drop a brand-new song from the album, and it gets the conversation going around all this new music that no one's heard," he added.
