In an exclusive interview with Stephen Colbert, Senator Bernie Sanders talks about how he can work together with former vice president Joe Biden and defeat President Donald Trump in November. Having dropped out of the presidential race, Sanders cleared the path for Biden's Democratic nomination. While some users on Twitter were completely against his decision, some rallied in support.

"Soul crushing Thank you Bernie but this is where we part ways," tweeted one user while another user tweeted in support of Sanders's decision, "To the #BernieSanders voters who are upset, I get it. I voted for the man in the primary myself. But let's not let his fight fail! Let's vote for Biden to remove Trump. But more importantly, let's vote out every last corrupt GOP Senator we can! #BlueNoMatterWho #TogetherWeWin."

Sanders said it was "no secret" that Biden's politics was different than his but that he has known Joe since Sanders came to the Senate in 2006. Sanders said, "What I would say to people is that Joe is a very decent human being" and that he hopes to work with Joe to "move him in a more progressive direction".

"I will vote for Biden, only because I'm a democrat. I do not, however, expect change. ever now! The people have always been the pivot point of every issue at the heart of Sen Sanders. The hope of Equality and Justice has died," tweeted another user expressing concern about not expecting any change.

"I think Joe is a good politician," continued Sanders, "and he understands that in order to defeat the president, in order to defeat Trump, he's going to have to bring new people into his political world and that he's going to have to listen to their needs."

"Biden's politics aside: He doesn't seem capable of carrying out the task. A huge red flag to all Americans," tweeted another user, a little hesitant about what Biden can bring to the table. Another fan tagged along tweeting, "Love ya bernie, but the movement is going beyond you; and we ain’t voting for biden."
