'Star Wars Resistance' Season 2 premiere sees Tam become a First Order pilot but Kaz still hopes to win her back

The way Tam sees it, the Resistance is just a bunch of outlaws and liars while the First Order and their soldiers are the ones trying to keep the galaxy safe but Kaz is still hoping to fix things by sending an apology to Tam's personal communicator

The second and final season of 'Star Wars Resistance' is finally underway and things are not looking good for Kazuda Xiono (Christopher Sean) and his friends aboard the Colossus. After last season's cliffhanger finale left the refueling station lost in hyperspace, most of the Colossus' critical systems, including communications, weapons and engines, are either completely down or in need of immediate repair.

Meanwhile, the First Order is still looking for the Colossus and they are more than willing to destroy the station rather than letting it fall into the hands of the Resistance. The First Order's biggest advantage is that they now have Kaz's former friend Tamara Ryvora (Suzie McGrath) among their ranks and she makes it clear that there's no love lost between her and her old friends, thanks to Kaz not telling her that he's a Resistance spy.

She readily offers up all the information she has on the Colossus and asks for a chance to become a pilot for the First Order. The way Tam sees it, the Resistance is just a bunch of outlaws and liars while the First Order and their soldiers are the ones trying to keep the galaxy safe.

Tam agrees to give herself up entirely to the First Order's cause, even if it means hunting down her former friends aboard the Colossus. "They're not my friends anymore," she says in the episode. "I've made my choice."

Though Tam might be done with Kaz, the young Resistance fighter isn't ready to give up on Tam. With the help of his friends Neeku Vozo (Josh Brenner) and Torra Doza (Myrna Velasco), Kaz manages to send out a message to Tam's personal communicator apologizing for lying to her about being a Resistance spy.

"She's my friend. I owe her that much," he says, deciding to send the message even though it might lead the First Order straight to the ship. When she receives the message, Tam doesn't even bother listening to the whole thing and puts on her new First Order helmet.

Though it looks like it's going to take a lot to bring Tam back from the dark side, it's unlikely Kaz will ever give up on her and at some point, he is bound to find a way to finally get through to his old friend.

'Star Wars Resistance' Season 2 Episode 2 will air October 13 on the Disney Channel.
