Seven Of Nine (Jeri Ryan) is back, and she has got her own scores to settle, as we discovered in this episode of 'Star Trek: Picard'.

Fans of 'Star Trek: Voyager' remember her the once-assimilated Borg adapt to human life. For the unversed, Seven Of Nine was born Annika Hansen on the Tendera Earth Colony. Her parents were Federation scientists who researched the Borg race. Unfortunately, this consequently led to their deaths

During one of their studies, they followed one of the Borg cubes into the Delta Quadrant. Due to their scientific prowess, they remained undetected for two years. However, an ion storm caused some damage to their ship's purpose shields and the Borgs took over and assimilated Annika.

For several years, Annika was part of the Borg collective under the designation Seven Of Nine. In the third season finale of 'Star Trek: Voyager', during a prepared ambush, just as the Borgs prepare to assimilate the Voyager crew using Seven as a representative, her connection to the collective is destroyed. She returns to her human form.

So, you can imagine what a welcome relief it was for fans to see Seven on 'Star Trek: Picard'. They were full of praise for Ryan's performance as well. In the show, Icheb had been killed and she wasn't going to let that go so easily.

"@JeriLRyanMost mind blowing intro to Picard! Episode 5 is next level #StarTrekPicard, I’m officially hooked! The addition of 7-of-9 did not disappoint. Thanks everyone!" wrote a fan.

One fan exulted, "Such a great show and we need 7 of 9 spin-off..."

"I have thoughts on #StarTrekPicard. But my major thought is that @JeriLRyan killed it this episode!" wrote another fan.

A fan wrote, "They never give awards to sci-fi shows (well, except saturn), but @JeriLRyan deserves on for the performance tonight. She was perrrrfect. Outstanding. Her best work yet."

'Star Trek: Picard' airs on Thursdays, CBS All Access, 12:01 am.
