25-year-old woman drives around in Power Wheels toy truck while high on drugs, gets arrested
South Carolina police pulled over and arrested a woman after they spotted her cruising down the street in a child's motorized Power Wheels truck while being intoxicated.
25-year-old Megan Holman was arrested and charged for driving a child's toy truck under the influence of a narcotic. The incident took place on Monday in Walhalla, South Carolina, close to her home.
Chief Sean Brinson said that Holman was pulled over by the Walhalla police officers after they received a call about a suspicious person who turned out to be the 25-year-old cruising down North Church Street, according to local NBC affiliate WYFF.
Brinson told the station that the woman was about a mile away from her house when they caught her rolling down the street in the electric toy truck. He revealed that she was under the influence of narcotics at that time.
Holman was not arrested under DUI since she was behind a toy truck and not a real vehicle at that time. Brinson said that she was charged under suspicion of public intoxication.
According to an incident report that was obtained by The State, Holman told the officers she was riding the electric toy truck as part of a scavenger hunt, and because, "she wanted to be a professional wrestler like her father and this was how to do it."
The State also reported that Holman was taken to the Oconee County Detention Center and was released from jail that very day on a personal recognizance bond.
