New York-based rock band 'Brass Against', mostly recognized for their covers of classic hits, has issued an official apology after their frontwoman Sophia Urista committed a shocking act on stage during the Rockville Festival at Daytona Beach, Florida. Midway through their performance on Thursday, November 11, Urista happened to take down her pants and urinate on the face of a fan, who was lying flat on the stage. The act has been condemned by attendees at the Welcome to Rockville festival who were least prepared to witness something like this.

An NSFW video of the entire incident is currently going viral on social media, which has prompted fans to shame Sophia Urista and the band for allowing such an act. Reportedly, the band was performing a rendition of 'Wake Up' by Rage Against The Machine when Urista invited a fan on stage. After asking him to lie down, she nonchalantly pulled down her trousers and engaged in a 'Golden Shower'. It is unclear whether the fan was aware of the act beforehand, but he did not seem much perturbed even as Urista proceeded to urinate on him.

"We had a great time last night at Welcome to Rockville. Sophia got carried away. That's not something the rest of us expected, and it's not something you'll see again at our shows. Thanks for bringing it last night, Daytona," the band tweeted from their official account on behalf of Sophia Urista.

Who is Sophia Urista?

The 35-year-old singer is well-known for her days on the singing reality show 'The Voice'. In 2016, she participated as a contestant in Season 11 of the NBC show. She is also a former medical student who chose a career in music, after being mentored by Quincy Jones

Urista, who has over 66,000 followers on Instagram, gained considerable success and recognition as the lead vocalist of 'Brass Against'. Her songs regularly feature among iTunes chart-toppers and SoundCloud. In her personal life, the LGBTQ icon is engaged to fitness instructor Jessica King. In previous interviews, Urista had often shared that she hails from a 'conservative background'. However, fans are still baffled over the shocking and disgusting act committed by their favorite singer.

"Sophia Urista? More like So-pee-ya Urinsta amiright," Brooklyn Vegan's comedy editor Klaud Kinski tweeted.

"What Sophia Urista did on that fan's face during a live concert is beyond disgusting. Not going to say exactly what Urista did as I try to keep my twitter page PG-13. Whats almost as bad is people normalizing this. If the world is going to end soon it might be a good thing!" another shocked fan wrote on Twitter.

A third fan asked Sophia, "How do you get “carried away” and pull your pants down to urinate on someone’s face.? Carried away.? ……That’s what happens when you get a little carried away.?"

"Yeah i just blocked her," another fan announced.

Urista is yet to issue a personal apology regarding the incident. Meanwhile, the identity of the fan has not been disclosed.
