Man has sex with mother's corpse after brutally murdering her with a walking stick when she resisted his rape attempt
A 58-year-old man allegedly battered his 89-year-old mother to death with a walking stick and then had sexual intercourse with her corpse, according to police. Officials said that the man, identified as Lindsey Turiano, hit his mother, Norma, so hard that "most of her skull and brain were missing" when she was found.
A police report stated that the "victim’s head was completely obliterated to the point that she was unrecognizable as a person." Turiano later admitted to choking his mother in her bedroom in San Antonio, in Texas.
Reports state that the son also stripped her naked and attempted to sexually assault her after the brutal attack, which occurred on July 14.
Turiano, while talking to investigators, said that he dragged Norma into the living room while she was kicking and screaming. He then repeatedly hit her over the head with a stick until she was dead.
"Once dead the defendant dragged the victim into the back room and again engaged in sexual acts with the deceased victim," the police documents added.
Reports state that police found Norma's decomposing body a few days after the attack, with Turiano lying unconscious and severely dehydrated on the kitchen floor. Detectives reportedly found "pieces of skull in the living room and large dark or black stains on the carpet consistent with a crime scene and blood," according to the Mirror. Officials also noted blood spattered on walls and pieces of bone and tissue on a broken knife.
Authorities had decided to a safety check after Norma's daughter alerted them saying she had not heard from her in days. Officials kicked down the door after they detected a foul smell emanating from the apartment.
After discovering the grisly scene inside, they rushed Turiano to the hospital. The assailant did not speak of the crime until six weeks later where he divulged the gruesome details to a doctor. He allegedly confessed to killing his mother and staying in the house for "a few days."
Police spokesman Jennifer Rodriguez said: “Since the very beginning, detectives had been wanting to talk to Mr. Turiano but he had been hospitalized after this incident occurred.”
