Hutchinson and Miller, Jenkins said, departed the reception just before 10pm to return to their Airbnb. On the cart with them were two more family members. Jenkins said, "And the sirens started. And the sirens kept going, and the sirens didn't stop. My mom said, 'Something happened to Sam,' not knowing anything," per WCNC.

Her misgivings turned out to be true. Miller's family said that a driver traveling at 65 mph rear-ended the couple's golf cart. Jenkins and her mother rushed to the location as soon as they learned what had transpired. "My mom and I ran holding hands. Not wearing shoes, a bra, or anything else but screaming, 'Sammy!'" Jenkins reportedly said.

Who is Jamie Lee Komoroski?

The vehicle's driver, Komoroski, 25, was taken into custody and charged with three counts of felony DUI resulting in serious injury or death and one count of reckless murder. Police stated that she was traveling at 65 mph at the time and she was reportedly unharmed.

When cops apprehended Komoroski, she admitted to having a beer and a tequila-based drink an hour earlier, according to ABC News 4. She was "very unsteady" on her feet as she stood up and she almost fell, as per reports.
