Solar '容: FACE': Release date, tracks and all about the Mamamoo leader's solo comeback
Mamamoo’s Solar will now be the newest member of the girl group to make her comeback after almost two years since her solo debut. As Hwasa released, ‘Guilty Pleasure’ back in November last year, Wheein and Moonbyul decorated January 2021 with their solo albums, ‘Whee’ and ‘6equence’, respectively. Now, Solar will be the last member from the RBW Entertainment group to drop her solo album, which is a very self-reflective one as she teases it.
On February 22, Mamamoo’s Solar announced that she will be making her new comeback with her first mini-album, ‘容: Face’ often translated as ‘Dragon: Face’ which was teased with a cryptic image of a white mannequin face that had features that resembled Solar herself. The Chinese character - 容 is read as Yong, fans also believe that the album will be based on Solar’s real identity where she reveals new music that talks about her character. The word ‘容: Face’ thus literally translates to ‘Yong: Face’ that takes inspiration from Solar’s birth name. Solar, who was born Kim Yong-sun uses her real name for the title of her first mini-album to give fans an insider view of her real personality.
