'Snowfall' season 3 episode 4 teaser sees Frank Saint return to LA amid police crackdown on drug dealers

The official promo of the episode released shows Franklin will have a lot on his hand in the upcoming episode. For one, Reed may not be able to help him this time around because he will be busy cleaning up the mess made by drug mules who cross the border with the next shipment.

In 'Snowfall' season 3 episode 3 titled 'Cash and Carry' we saw Frankin Saint (Damson Idris) win Avi Drexler (Alon Aboutboul) over with a smart plan, but in the upcoming episode titled 'The Game That Moves As You Play' Franklin will return to a city where the cops have begun to crack down on drug dealers selling bricks, rocks and all forms of cocaine.

This happens to be Franklin's main business and with Reed Thompson (Carter Hudson), the undercover CIA operative getting him enough bricks from the Columbians to keep him rolling in dollars, the young man with his team of players - Jerome (Amin Joseph), Louie (Angela Lewis) and Leon (Isaiah John) - is now dreaming of catering to the big players in the city. The crackdown by the cops will, of course, come in the way of their business model so how will Franklin tackle this new problem when he returns from Mexico?

The official promo of the episode released by FX shows Franklin will have a lot on his hand in the upcoming episode. For one, Reed may not be able to help him this time around because he will be busy cleaning up the mess made by drug mules who cross the border with the next shipment.

They have shot Soledad (Adriana DeGirolami) and from Reed's reaction in the preview clip, it looks she might not return. At the end of episode 3, we did see one of the drug carriers pull a gun out and take a shot. It was, however, unclear if the bullet found its mark.

While he is dealing with this mess, the Los Angeles Police Department has also decided to take strict action. We can hear one of them say, "These thugs do not care about you one bit." Following this we see cops break down doors, Leon running around with his gun clearly trying to escape what looks like an attack and Aunt Louie captured by someone who is not from the LAPD. This is fairly certain because she is being held down and tortured.

Frank is also seen telling his mother Cissy Saint (Michael Hyatt) he is now trying to play a different game. When she asks what game that is, there is no response. Instead, we hear detective Andrew Wright (Marcus Henderson) tell his daughter Melody, who happens to be the on-again-off-again girlfriend of Franklin, that "Bad things happen to bad people".

Is he hinting at Franklin's fate? From the beginning of the new season, he's made it clear that if Franklin doesn't mend his ways, then the detective will not think twice about dragging him down. The animosity between the two reached an all-new level when Franklin reached the detective's doorstep directly to goad him by talking to his daughter Melody. All of this only pushes him further into taking action against not just Franklin, but everyone related to him.

'Snowfall' season 3 episode 4 will air on FX  Wednesday, July 31 at 10 p.m.
