As the defamation trial involving Johnny Depp and Amber Heard resumes on Monday, May 16, Saturday Night Live has claimed to have found footage of the infamous poop left in the actor's bed.

A key date in the sensational trial is April 22, 2016, when Heard, 36, hosted her 30th birthday party at their downtown Los Angeles penthouse. Depp, 58, reportedly arrived late and decided he wouldn't attend the soiree, something that he says enraged his ex-wife. Heard has accused Depp of throwing a magnum wine bottle at her before leaving the residence, something he has denied. However, Depp's housekeeper called him the next morning to inform him that someone had defecated on his side of the bed and then put the covers over it.

Depp is confident that Heard or one of her friends is responsible for the incident. Heard has claimed one of their Yorkshire terriers, Pistol and Boo, had an episode of incontinence, but Depp said that the poop was too large for a 3- or 4- pound dog to excrete. He later said that the pooping incident was the "final straw" in their marriage.

In a cold open sketch for Saturday's show, Depp, played by Kyle Mooney, revealed his allegation that his ex-wife left a "fecal delivery" on his bed in Los Angeles. Aidy Bryant, who plays his lawyer Camille Vasquez, asks Depp how he felt after making the discovery, to which the actor replies, "I felt very sad." The courtroom is then shown a video in which a security guard, played by Keenan Thompson, makes the gruesome discovery and refers to the excrement as a "dookie" and "booboo." He then calls in another staffer, played by Ego Nwodim, and the two debate who left the poop in the bed. "Man, what is wrong with white people?" Nwodim remarks as the two are joined by other members of staff played by Melissa Villasenor and Chris Redd.

The sketch began with MSNBC host Nicole Wallace, played by Kate McKinnon, listing a number of important issues faced by America aside from the Depp/Heard proceedings, which she refers to as a "cuckoo trial". Heard's lawyer Elaine Bredehoft, played by Heidi Gardner, echoes the actress's real-life claim that the feces was left by their dogs and argues that the footage must not be shown. But Judge Penny Azcarte, played by Cecily Strong, quips, "That’s true, but I’ll allow it because it does sound fun. And this trial is for fun!"

The judge is also seen asking Depp if he found the trial amusing, to which he says, "A little, yes." The judge responds, "So am I. You're bad Captain Jack," before pulling out a glass of white wine from under her bench. "I think I’ve seen enough. This trial has given me a lot to consider," the judge explains. "On one hand, I believe Mr Depp's story. But on the other hand, your constant little smirk lets me know that. This is not the first woman you made so mad that she pooped in your bed." Depp subsequently smirks and tells the judge, "I guess I have been known to be a full nightmare."

Depp is suing his ex-wife Heard claiming an op-ed she penned in 2018 painted him as a domestic abuser. While the 'Aquaman' actress did not name her former husband in the Washington Post opinion piece, his legal team has argued that it hampered his career and cost him several gigs in Hollywood. Depp is suing Heard for $50 million in damages, while the latter has filed a counterclaim of defamation for $100 million. The trial, which went on a hiatus earlier this month, resumes on Monday, May 16 in Virginia.
