SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS: While using a phone app to track her daughter's location, a mother in Texas made a horrible discovery. The mother had gone to pick up her 16-year-old daughter Siri Reddy from school in San Antonio, but she was nowhere to be seen.

Police were called in for help and as they began investigating Reddy's distressed mother began to track her daughter's cellphone location. The location led her to the wooded area near the Heroes Stadium twelve miles from her school.

Siri was pronounced dead at the scene

The mother had initially gone on her own to the location to find her daughter after she was not found at pick up but when she was unable to find her the police were informed. When officers responded to the scene the mother spotted the teen at the bottom of the cliff, as per KSAT. San Antonio police said she was discovered dead on Thursday at the bottom of a cliff on the city’s Northeast Side.

Police stated that they do not know why she was there, but that she looked to have fallen and suffered due to injuries. The teenager was not revived despite the first responders' best efforts to conduct CPR on her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Siri was an award-winning member of the school

William B Handmaker, the headmaster of the school said in a statement released by Keystone School, "She was a member of the National Honor Society, an award-winning member of the school’s Science Fair team, a member of the Upper School robotics team, and contributed to The Keynote." Handmaker added, "Last year, she sang ‘Vedrai Carino’ by Mozart at Music Fest at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, and she sang in the cast of the Upper School musical 'Grease'." Saying that she will be "deeply missed" Handmaker said counselors would be available on campus for students and staff members.

The site where Reddy was discovered dead was once part of a quarry where workers formed the cliff while mining rocks. “At this time it is unknown why [Reddy] was at the location,” San Antonio police said as per the New York Post. Police were still investigating Reddy's death as of Tuesday night.
