LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: While watching 'SpongeBob SquarePants' last week, two little brothers were hit by a stray bullet that entered their family's Las Vegas apartment through a wall and killed one of them. On March 10, according to reports, SirArmani Clark, 9, was shot and died while watching a children's cartoon on the couch with his 6-year-old brother Honor Tate.

“If I could have took that bullet for them, I would have. I would rather them live without a mommy than to lose their life,” said  Justine Tate to FOX 5. The bullet shattered SirArmani's head before striking Honor in the leg.

'We heard Honor whimper. No sound from Armani'

“We hop up out of bed, we run into the living room. We heard Honor whimper. No sound from Armani … He doesn’t say anything. He doesn’t respond to me. All I can visual at this point is my baby’s head dropping and falling to the side,” Justine recalled tearfully, the outlet noted.

“There appears to be a gunshot that came from a neighboring apartment that went through the wall and into their apartment and struck the juvenile,” Metropolitan Police Department's Lt Jason Johansson told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He said the boy was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he died. The other boy inside the apartment was also taken to the hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.

“To me it does not look like at this time that this home was targeted, but we’ll have to determine that through our investigation but at this time it does not appear to be that way,” Johansson revealed to the media outlet. As of now, no arrests have been made in the connection with the fatal shooting.

'Our Armani was the best. He left an imprint on everyone'

"My baby got shot in his head," Justine said as tears roll down from her eyes. "Our Armani was the best. He left an imprint on everyone. He was the football star of the family," she added before saying, "When I tell you that boy can throw a football better than his mommy and I can throw a football." For Justine's job, the family had just relocated from Reno to Vegas.

'My children didn’t deserve any of this!'

On Thursday night last week, the boys arrived. Without his older brother, Justine's 6-year-old will never be the same, the family said. “He is so traumatized. He doesn’t want to leave the house… yesterday when I went to clean his wounds he immediately was like, ‘Mama, I want Armani,’” Justine explained to the outlet. The family has set up a GoFundMe for SirArmani’s final expenses, as well as to help the six-year-old honor.

“My children didn’t deserve any of this! Honor must go on with life after he has watched the most traumatizing thing a 6-year-old can imagine,” Justine wrote on the fundraising website.
