Alex Kompothecras was once an integral part of 'Siesta Key' until MTV decided to severe ties with one of its popular reality TV stars. Although no concrete reasons were given, there's good reason to believe that Alex was axed from the show over resurfaced racist tweets.

"We’ve made the decision to cut ties with Alex and are editing the current season to minimize his presence. He will not be in future seasons of Siesta Key," MTV stated. Since his firing, no one has heard much or seen of Alex, except for the Instagram posts, which are limited to family pictures. But Chloe Trautman and Amanda Miller have an update and a few thoughts on Alex being fired.

In an interview with MEAWW, Chloe said that if he stuck around he wouldn't have grown. "Moving on with his life and us moving on with ours separately was the best thing for everybody." She wished her best and added that while filming with him was "fine," it felt "great" without him on the sets.

But Alex leaving the show hit everyone differently and there's no denying that it did impact the group. "You know, like things are just different now. And like Chloe said, I wish nothing but the best for Alex, but I really think that he needed to step away from the show and focus on being a father and being a family man." Amanda echoed Chloe thoughts, said Alex would not have grown. "I haven't seen him since, none of us have," she added.

Since being axed from the show Alex has indeed taken time off to be with his young family, Alyssa and daughter Alessi, who was born in June 2020. Just last March, the family was in Lake Tahoe for little bit of a downtime. He shared a lovely photo with a caption that read: "Lake Tahoe lovin with these two."

He probably needed that time given what happened with him on the show. His scenes were cut out and voice edited amid social media outcry, previously reported by MEAWW. Back then, fans had genuine issues about Alex's screen time being limited. Some didn't appreciate it, others were ready to ditch the show altogether.
